AKG Question!
One more thing. Is it even fair to pit them together? The thing is I can get a hell of a deal on the k272-HD and k242-HD but not the 701s. If I do get the 701s it be a $105.29 difference for the 272s and a $127.79 on the 242s. So I'm at a loss as I want a open set of headphones.- cuba0555

AKG Question!
Does AKG make the 701&702 anymore? I can't find them at harmon audio or AKG's website. If not how do they compare to the current AKG k272-HD(I know they are closed) or the k242-HD?- cuba0555

@ .Sup did you happened to have heard The Sharper Image Bluetooth Hi-Fi system. If so how do those active monitors hold up? I have them at my work place and was wondering if I should upgrade my speakers as I can get them at a good price. Heres a pic of them.- cuba0555

Bose MusicMonitor 2.0 vs AudioEngine A2 2.0 computer/ Ipod speakers
I saw them at Wal-mart just today. They kinda reminded me of the Yamaha table-top iPod dock and found them to have an same attractive look. I have given my mother the Bose Acoustic Wave System. She was wondering what brand was Bose and why they can only be controlled with just the remote...- cuba0555

Bose MusicMonitor 2.0 vs AudioEngine A2 2.0 computer/ Ipod speakers
The Bose look good for portability but that price a little hard to swallow for some. I had been looking for set that can be taken on the fly and had stereo separation so decided to try the sony srs-m50. Out of the package they didn't hold up to well and distorted like crazy but after a little...- cuba0555

I need more boom without the sub.
I have the Sharper Image Hi-Fi 1.2 Bluetooth KO-500 speakers and was wondering if anyone here had a chance to listen to them. If so can one recommend a better active set. My budget is about $600. My initial idea was to get a set of passive Klipsch-Icon-WB-14 powered by a single CryoParts Pop...- cuba0555

Beats by Dr. Dre vs. Sennheiser HD 485? Which One?
Again I like my Sony mdr-xb700 over my beats. BTW: I find the bass on the sony to be powerful but slow(thats the only way to describe it). Hip-hop, techno/trance, dance, R&B, they do really well but not so good for metal. I find that they can't handle acoustical heavy music well. Fast hard...- cuba0555

Easy-to-power, comfy, <=$150
I might just be a novice but I do love my Sony MDR-XB700 over my Beats (I know big woop). Easy to power, very comfy, can be found for $70-$80, and some would disagree but I like the look of them and have a quality built to them. Just to warn you they do get warm and some don't like the the...- cuba0555
