Is there actually a way for the XLR inputs to be turned into balanced XLR outs? I'm currently using SE RCA out to my amp, and I'd really love to use it in balanced mode.

Mine does this too, and so does my Liquid Platinum haha! I have no idea why they tell you it'll mute, when both of my Monolith amps support dual output. I wonder if it's a bug?

I think the general consensus is to set your DAC to as close as 0 dB as you can get, while using the amp itself for control. Not a good idea to do digital volume control on your DAC imo.

It's pretty nice to have it on board your amp. However, the menu system is a little chaotic to navigate, and there's a really low cap on how many bands you can adjust. Otherwise, pretty handy if you just want to EQ a few small things!

Does anyone have some recommendations for running Focal Clears and LCD-2s off the LP? New to the tube game, not sure where to be looking for affordable tubes either!

This amp has truly been an interesting ride for me! Didn't expect to like it so much, or to even hear much of a difference compared to the THX 788 that I own. Hilariously enough, the THX has pretty much been demoted to DAC duty only these days..

I think the TR-X00 Ebony really did it for me. Sad to sell mine, but it might be time to move to the >$1000 category ;)

Just sold my pair of X00 Ebonies today. They were pretty great, definitely opened up when I upgraded from a Schiit stack to a THX 788/Liquid Platinum. Pretty much got rid of the sibilance and tightened up the bass region a lot for me. Highly recommend if you're looking for some fun headphones...

Also noticed you're from Canada too! Where are you buying tubes from locally? I'd like to find some new ones to roll with.

I have a LP running to my Clears right now. Dead silent from one end of the dial to another. Running a THX 788 in single ended pre-amp mode to the Liquid Platinum. Definitely a great choice! It opened up soundstage for me compared to the THX 788. I'm a pretty big fan, but it runs pretty hot!

I sold off my 2016 LCD-2Fs and I recently got a pair of 2019 LCD-2Cs. Anyone have any impression on the newer 2Fs compared to the older ones? Considering jumping back to the fazor models but I'm curious if there's any major sound differences.

Have you checked out the Amazon pages for the item? I think a lot of them have shipping dimensions and weights, separate from the actual unboxed item weight. Hopefully that helps!

That's a shame your LCD-2s just died :( I also had a pair of 2016 2Fs and they sounded great. Did they just fail out of nowhere?
