considering getting a pair of this for travelling to replace my 5 year old AH D600 (which is my favorite closed headphone w easy drive)..will be paird with iphone7. are these easy to drive like the AH d600?

Has been struggled lately to find an in-ear monitor for out door use.. Primarily because i cannot seem to find reviews in terms of ambient noise blocking mics.. For example plantronic makes very good conference blue-tooth headphones, but their auido equality is not tolerable for every-day...

  Thanks.... The Sennheiser has two year warranty, there is still exactly 1 year left... I am hoping they can have something equvalent to RS220 relased like RS225? The current RS185 looks like a HD598 equvalent, where RS220 is closer to HD650 (sound signature wise). 

they are not close at all... HD600 are HD650 are in same league, HD598 are two leagues below HD600 and 650.

Grado sound best with Grado RA1. I own RS2+RA1 for 10 years. For DAC, Mytek 96 or 196 sounds the best to me, fits your budget, too.

650 are neutral/warm, very fined sound that may not surprise you for quick audition, but will please you over the years for more listening session. 600 are bit cold and bright, i liked them better when i first listen to them 10 years ago, but I would buy HD650 instead.

K550 is great choice.. has great sweet trebe and mid range. I sold it for not having enough punch for rock music, bought denon ATH D600 instead. But I do miss the trebe from K550.

I currently own two pairs of RS220, both of them has power disconnection issue (unusable), the Senheisser Canada offers me either replacement of RS220 or RS185.   RS220 has some signal cut off issue, but the sound quality wise is the best I can hope for. There aren't much review about RS185...

for me theres no other choices but Grado SR60...I enjoy it as much as I enjoy my RS2.

I just got a E17 paired with AKG K550 for office use. I am suprised how musical this thing is.

just an update...i bought two pairs of RS220 today. So far no drop issues...Very comfortable, HD600 like wide sound stage, perfect for movies.
