Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)

Hey, I have the D5000 and like them very much. But there's one problem, my girlfriend likes them very much, too. So we need a second one. I'm not big fan of buying used headphones if they're not in a really good condition. So I saw that there are some good black friday offers for the D5200 and...

FiiO&JadeAudio Dynamic Driver IEMs Discussion & Impressions Thread

I tried it a couple of days ago. I'm constantly switching between these EQ settings and the crinacle settings which are integrated in the Qudelix 5K software and can't figure out which I like more. But I also like the original FD5 sound.

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Hey, I could get a Denon D5000 quite cheaply, which is also still in really good condition. Is the D5000 good for metal (black, technical death, progressive, stoner/doom) and would be a good complement to the Sundaras that I have?

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

I liked the 700 Pro X, but the Sundara and the D5000 are way better (in my opinion). Long story short, the Sundara (with little bass eq) and the D5000 are different but both excellent headphones. Actually I didn't want to have two. But now here I am and I think, I have to keep them both.

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

Hey, I have the Sundaras for a couple of days now and I'm quite happy with them. Only thing is, sometimes I miss some bass. I tried several auto eq presets for the Sundara (oratory and crinacle) in the Qudelix app but I didn't like them at all. Has anybody an idea how to set the eq when I...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

Perfect, thanks. Just ordered some rip offs and some original Fostex TH-900 pads. Another question: Is it normal that the D5000 sit quite loose on the head with almost no clamp? And is it normal that the adjustment for the headband is also very "loose"? It changes with almost no effort or even...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

Hey, I have two questions regarding the D5000. How can I remove the ear pads? Just pull hard? They are quite tight. And can I get anywhere new, "original" ear pads? Original would be great but I don't know how good the knock offs are that are sold everywhere. Thanks for your help :)

    The Qudelix-5K thread

Hey, I'm using the 5K with my IEMs as a bluetooth amp and I'm really happy with it. In 2022 I want to dive into the headphone world and the first thing that came to my mind was if the 5K is "strong" enough as a standalone USB DAC or if I should invest in a bigger, non-mobile amp?

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)

Hey, I got the Sundaras today and drive them with a Qudelix 5K and want to change the cable to a balanced 2.5mm one. Can somebody recommend a fairly cheap and good cable? Thanks.

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Just a quick update since I got the Sundaras today. They sound quite lovely in combination with the Qudelix 5K. Don't miss bass right now after almost 2 hours of listening to some metal genres. Looking forward to compare them to the Denon D5000 and the D 700 Pro X.

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Sounds good, thanks. I get the Sundaras tomorrow and next week the Denon D5000 and the D 700 Pro X. First time in my life really listening to music with headphones then, after that I can probably tell more what I like and what not.

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Thanks. I just ordered the 700 Pro X and I can lend the Hifiman Sundara from a friend of mine. He said with a little bit EQ of the bass they kill every headphone he owned (he just has the Sundaras right now). Let's see :) Edit: And my father has a Denon AH-D5000. So three headphones to test...

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Damn  Anything that goes in that direction? So emphasised bass, engaging and fun sound signature, no sibilance?

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Hey, coming from IEMs I have no clue or knowledge about headphones. But I want some. And now I need your help :) What do I like? - I like a big, warm sound with emphasized bass, I enjoy when it rumbles and goes deep - The bass should be fast and precise (especially when I'm listening to...
