Wheatfiled HA-2 amps available!
I'm the second lucky someone. I am enjoying the HA-2 with the AKG K1000. The K1000 / HA-2 combination is very detailed and natural with an excellent tactile sound (with my Plinius CD101 cd player). Tube rolling will be fun. Anyway, I think Todd and Pete will have one more HA-2 for one more...- cobra_verde

Asr, Anything look familiar? Plinius sounds good with Headamp amps. In my case, the Gilmore Lite while I wait and save for my BHSE.- cobra_verde

The Apex High Fi Audio Teton!
Pete, Looks like a wonderful amp! How would you recommend dialing this in for Grados (say RS-1)? Would you use IEM mode? The 6528? Is the input impedance 50k ohms? Thanks! --Jesse- cobra_verde

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
A few tube rolling questions before I receive my BHSE from among the next batch. I know the BHSE does not need a matched quad, but rather two matched pairs. 1) Just to be certain, would one matched pair of tubes go in the back and one in the front, or should one matched pair go on the left and...- cobra_verde

The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread
It seems like several people that have the BHSE also have a GSX. Just an idea, and maybe it wouldn't work because the power needs are different, but how about having one power source unit that can switch between powering a BHSE and a GSX? This could save shelf space and give an extra incentive...- cobra_verde

Sony MDR-R10 Owner's Club
pabloko, I just looked at your eBay add, and want to clarify where you are shipping the R10s from: US, Britain, Greece, or elsewhere. Your eBay profile says location US, the post and currency seem to be British, and the eBay ad says the location is Patra. I posted here in case anyone else wants...- cobra_verde

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Thanks for the tips VVS. I'm not sure I understand the part you have after Be Aware. Is that something different than what you built your tool for? Can you explain that last part again? I'm thinking about buying a BHSE but all of these adjustments are kind of intimidating. Yet, I still want to...- cobra_verde

Sony MDR R10 - some TLC and a recable for an old set
No, but I can't imagine they are anywhere near as good as your R10s, but I guess I'll have to try the Senn 800.- cobra_verde

Sony MDR R10 - some TLC and a recable for an old set
I am impressed, Allan, at how nicely they came out. If they have just a hint more bass response with the new foam then they would be perfect for me. I am so pleased with what you made of these and am glad I played a small role in these headphone's history, selling them to you. Actually, I bid on...- cobra_verde

Sony MDR R10 - some TLC and a recable for an old set
Quote: That's quite generous of you. I'm afraid my gear isn't yet up to a balanced pair of R10s, nor is my constitution up to having a delicate, $7,000 pair of rejuvenated R10s under my care. But maybe someday I'll be on your side of the pond and I can look you up to hear them on your...- cobra_verde
