These have been varying in price a lot on Amazon, In the last couple of weeks they’ve been as high as £499, but today they are £379, which is as low as I’ve seen them.

I think if you switch battery protection on, it only takes effect on the next reboot. However, even then I don’t think it’s completely reliable.
