    Combine Jotunheim, Modius, and HD6XX???

I built Joe Rasmussen's Elsinore speakers, and Troels Gravenson's Nomex 164's which I have in the bedroom. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/the-elsinore-project-thread.97043/page-240 http://www.customanalogue.com/elsinore/elsinore_index.htm...

    Combine Jotunheim, Modius, and HD6XX???

I just ordered some from Parts Express last week. The W2534, I wish I had seen this before I bought it, I see the differance in the 2893 is the O.D. is much smaller than the 2534....hopefully it's not too bad. I'll check out two links you posted too.

    Combine Jotunheim, Modius, and HD6XX???

I'm going to make this brief and I'll elaborate if people want me too. A couple years ago I tried hi-end headphones. I didn't really like them I prefer speakers, but I started using a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-R70x...which grew on me more and more I decided to try the HD-6XXX, and add a...

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

Just got the DAC, and I'm able to use the toslink digital out to send the source signal from the TV and Oppo player to the DAC, which I'm really happy about. I can turn off Zone 1 and turn off my speakers which is nice. I ordered a long toslink cable to set up the DAC and amp on my night stand...

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

Well, I bought the Modius because I knew I was never going to be happy if I didn't and I wasn't spending the money on the Bifrost, and I'll eventually want to use the balanced inputs and outputs.

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

Well I was trying to give context but the beginning part is irrelevant now any way.

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

You know what. I was really trying not to get mad but I admit I did make me a little mad. Maybe I shouldn't have, and now that I read your first comment again, I suppose I just took it the wrong way. My apologies.

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

I guess it's good I don't need your help then. I'm sorry but saying that's where the insults started. I don't really want to start anything, but that did piss me off...but I'll leave it at that!

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

Well it's not really that complicated if you read what I wrote, maybe I included too much information, but I'll go ahead and simplify it as best I can. I have the Oppo connected with RCA's to the DVD input on my Denon, the TV connected with RCA's to the TV input to the Denon, and Zone 2 output...

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

Did I stump everyone with this question? Well any way, the first two DAC's are off the table. The internal DAC, Tom from Schiit said he didn't think would work with that toslink adapter. I was not able to get Tidal to work won my Oppo until today, got it to work with Mconnect and use the Oppo...

    Jotunheim 2 DAC dilemma

First of all I am an audiophile, but never really a big head phone guy. A couple years ago I bought the HD 650's and a the Monoprice spark amp. I was trying to use it with a Denon receiver long story short I couldn't get it to work right, and I couldn't tell a difference between the Spark and...

    Hooking up to an AVR...

Ok folks. I was trying to hook up a headphone amp, without plugging into the headphone jack on either my Pre/Pro or receivers. I did a bunch of searches not just here but online, and no one really seemed to be able to give me an answer. I'm an audiophile whose built several speakers, been...

    Sennheiser hd650 customer review

I didn't think you were snobbish in any way! I just want to hash this out...and I think we are finding everyone else does as well! We can agree, disagree, and all be good, and that how it should be!

    Sennheiser hd650 customer review

So here's the thing about classic rock, soul, jazz etc. A lot of those recordings were really bad. Some remastered are better, some are not. One of the problems here is the sound engineer doesn't compensate by raising the singers voice to a volume that matches the other instruments. In my...
