JVC new top tier Wooden IEM : JVC HA FX 1100

Can't really help you out there as I'm simply not familiar with the headphones you've mentioned. Though I've tested the Sennheiser IE80 a few years back and all I can say is that I don't even remember what it sounds like. Yeah the Sony XBA series does have impressive bass, I would say that it...

JVC new top tier Wooden IEM : JVC HA FX 1100

If you're looking for V-shaped but treble boosts bias, you might give the JVC HA-FR65S a go. Not sure if they are still in production though. That said, they're not really in the same league as the FX1200 in terms of sound quality. Also the fit might be uncomfortable for some.   Alternatively...

All that and that the FW01 definitely need a powerful source to sound near it's price range.

JVC new top tier Wooden IEM : JVC HA FX 1100

Got a chance to try out the new FW01 and from the experience of an FX1200 owner, I find the FX1200 to be the easier to drive phone while the FW01 definitely needs something better than a standard android phone output to shine. The Trebles are just a touch brighter in the FW01 and you get more...

My ears hate spinfit. They always end up pointing the wrong direction.

Based on pricing it would be the FW-01. Haven't got a chance to hear it though. They have also supposedly discontinued the FX-1100.

JVC new top tier Wooden IEM : JVC HA FX 1100

The FW01 does have fewer parts compared to the FX-1100/1200, mostly due to the difference in damping system employed based on the exploded view of the components. That said, I'm not a fan of the shiny plastic front or the JVC embossed back plate on the FW01. Makes it feel tacky.   I'm also too...

JVC new top tier Wooden IEM : JVC HA FX 1100

I never have that trouble with my FX 1200. They fit well and stays in my ears even if I'm being physically very active (running and jumping). The only time they broke seal or drop out is when the cable got caught against door handle, corner of desks etc.

Oh wow, both the balanced MMCX cable and the Amp costs some 1.3k USD... I think I'll stick with my regular unbalanced source :p

Oh wow, really Sony?   Gold-plated Oxygen-Free Copper Chassis (Purity 99.96%)... what's it gonna do?   Sony   Riiiiight. Because a conductive chassis doesn't sound like a disaster waiting to happen... There's a reason why circuitry are mounted on standoffs/spacers. Nuh uh, not buying...

Seminars? Seriously? What do they do there?   Source is trusted vendor but he couldn't verify it either hence why I said rumours and asked if anyone can in fact verify.

Hm, heard rumours that the FX1200/1100 are being discontinue'd by JVC. Can anyone confirm this? Perhaps someone from Japan or vendors?
