Sadly I had to return mine. There is a Bluetooth glitch which means when reconnecting to a device that the volume comes on at full blast regarding of the setting only to be corrected by touching the volume knob. This glitch appeared on the replacement item so I had no choice but to return it...

Best DAPs to consider in 2022?

Frustratingly, the same fault on the new DX240 so it's time to give the M11 Plus a go.

Best DAPs to consider in 2022?

Thanks. I have another DX240 from iBasso to trial and if that doesn't work then it's going to be the Fiio M11 and just hope you're right that its user-friendliness has improved significantly since the X5iii.

Best DAPs to consider in 2022?

Hi folks. I have two primary demands of a DAP: - reliable bluetooth connection - ability to process 80,000 plus songs seamlessly I have been using: - a Fiio x5iii for a few years and it is ok on the first but not so good on the second - there is a long lag and it is very clunky - aAK Sr15 for...

So I am roadtesting an IBasso DX240 which is working really well except in one respect and that is the Bluetooth connection. I have tried it with a Sony Soundbar, Bowers and Wilkins headphones and Sony in ear phones and the same issue crops up with all - and it is a dangerous one. When I...

    iBasso DX300 MAX Dual AK4499 Snapdragon 660 Octa-Core 6GB RAM 128GB ROM NEW Firmware: 2.02Available.

Quick question if I may. I am looking for a DAP that can handle up to 100,000 songs. I may be odd (aren’t we all in some way?) but I listen to cds when i can (home or car) and my DAP when on the move. I like to carry all my music with me and use it on shuffle when on the go as it is like having...

Thanks. Really appreciate that. Out of interest how many tracks do you have - I gather from past experience it's the number of tracks not necessarily the memory size that affects performance.

    DAP recommendation needed

Hi there. I have one prime requirement from a DAP and that is the ability to handle 80,000+ tracks (555GB). I currently have a Fiio x5iii which is a bit glitchy running that amount. I also have the A&K SR15 which is even more glitchy with that amount (works OK up to 40-50,000 then falls down...

    Astell & Kern SR15: A&norma Impressions & Reviews

Thanks - got the 1.18 version working ok so will now try this one. One question - is there a way to make it the default option so that when I switch the player on it just picks Foobar back up instead of me having to go into services and activate it - once I activate it it does exactly what I...

    Astell & Kern SR15: A&norma Impressions & Reviews

Yes, there were two such tracks which I have removed but everything else appears to be a supported file. The vast majority are AAC (copied from cd) with a handful of purchased AAC, some MPEG audio files and the two protected AAC files which I have removed.
