I think freqphase is simply the length of the acoustic tube, what makes it hard would probably be the socket

Try wearing it without the cable attached, see if the problems still persists. I had a problem where the socket was angled too inwards making it push against my skin.

Has anyone been able to contact cosmic ears? I've been sending them skype messages one of which was replied and a mail, but none of my questions have yet to be answered.

Just shipped mine as well. Apparently the socket on the right piece was angled inwards causing it to push against my skin and worsen isolation & comfort. The logo I received was also wrong. Thankfully Corbyn was helpful.

What do you guys need to do when sending it for re-fit? I did the online application form, do I send the CIEM to JH now? Or do I have to include anything along with the CIEM when I send it?

An update to my last post, I've received my steel/metal adapter (this) and I'm happy to say the material quality is a LOT better than this & this. It will at least last much longer than the other 2. The play/pause & volume button works beautifully with my Galaxy S4. I would not recommend using...

Here's a post from someone who actually work with one. Apparently 'consumer' product can cause allergic reaction and what not.

The thing with nail polish is you void the warranty. Plastic warp does not damage the acrylic. So you can send the CIEM back with the plastic warp still in tact and this gives them an idea on where to fix.

What I found out after months of experimenting with plastic warp is that the canal & aperture are the area that affect isolation (probably comfort, too). Especially the back-bottom area of the canal-aperture area. Don't quote me on this though, this is just based on countless trial and error...

If it was too small you could always use plastic warp to add some thickness. That's what I did with mine. If it was too big, then the only way to do it is to sand it down but then you'll void the warranty. (unless you're using a very fine sand papers even JHA can't tell the difference)  ...

I ain't gonna pay another $40 for something that's not even my mistake to begin with. (not letting JH squeeze more $ out of me) I've waited long and "a few weeks" might not be such a big deal.

I choose not to go with the clear cable even though mine is ready to ship. I would not be getting what I really desire and I know I'll regret it in the long run.

If cosmetics doesn't matter to you, then yes it is probably acceptable (only to you). But if I buy a Ferrari with different number of spokes on each wheel, then I'll definitely send it back and ask for replacements or at least ask for an extra wheel. Yes, it won't probably affect the...
