Interesting! I wonder how they compare to the more recent ZST X release, which has all the attributes you listed in this review, except for a bit more treble and boosted sub-bass (just how I like it.) I've been really itching to get that good ole ZST X depth and layering I love so much without...- candycane

Looking for an upgrade to my current ZST X's
I received them about two weeks ago and I have to say, I love the width and the tonality and the bass texture!!! I do really find myself missing the depth and layering of the ZST X as that was maybe my favorite part about them (just shy of holographic, all it needed was a bit more width and...- candycane

Earbuds Round-Up
Never of the same caliber as chi-fi IEMs. I've only ever had closed-back and the technicalities were never that good. More "budget standard" than HiFi. But I'd love to hear what they sound like, although over-ears make my ears feel hot and so they're not as comfortable.- candycane

Earbuds Round-Up
I'm a newbie to the hifi world... These days, can earbuds be just as good or better than the chi-fi budget IEMs?? I was considering getting buds for my next purchase but only if it's worth it. I'm in love with the technical abilities of Chi-fi IEMs and I'm on the hunt for a holographic...- candycane

Oh, mb. I thought you meant DQ6's, not DQ6S. I ordered the regular DQ6, not the DQ6S (I swear, they need to come up with less confusing names for this stuff.) And based off of what I've seen, I think the treble may be rolled off too much for my liking on those (plus they were 5 extra bucks on...- candycane

Looking for an upgrade to my current ZST X's
Thanks! I did order them yesterday. Though it will probably take a few weeks to arrive considering it's coming from Linsoul (China.) I'm looking forward to breaking them in. Also the KZs usually have a lower impedance and I shouldn't need a DAC with them, but I am curious if getting one sometime...- candycane

Looking for an upgrade to my current ZST X's
Update: after careful deliberation, I've ordered the KZ DQ6 because it seems to be less bloaty, fuller mids & less fatiguing highs with good technical ability, based off of what I have read. I also got some foam tips to go with them as I've heard it can be quite sibilant at a certain frequency...- candycane

Looking for an upgrade to my current ZST X's
Thanks. It looks promising, but I am concerned at how people say the treble isn't enough. Treble is important to me as I like to hear the micro-details and the crash of cymbals, but I'll take it into consideration! I'm mostly looking into the KZ brand so far as most of their products have a...- candycane

Looking for an upgrade to my current ZST X's
Hello, I'm new to the IEM world (and the audiophile world in general) and I love my current (also my first) IEMs, the ZST X's. There's so much I like about these, the V shape is really pronounced, bass strong, punchy and rumbly, treble clear, detailed and shimmery, soundstaging is good, but I'm...- candycane
