Going Ampless for a while, Need IEM (not too isolating) , neutral sound Indie/Alt Rock
The E30 seems pretty much what I'm looking for, though I'm not sure if I could get used to cable going up and over the ear. Is there a plastic piece or is it just all wire, looked at the pics from Soundmagic's site and it's really hard to tell.- c0mfortably_numb

Going Ampless for a while, Need IEM (not too isolating) , neutral sound Indie/Alt Rock
Thanks for the replies, I really didn't want to start yet another "I need a headphone thread" but I haven't seen anyone looking for less isolation. Most IEM rec threads seem to want more isolation, I had the Marshmallows for a brief time but could never get used to both the sound signature... -
Going Ampless for a while, Need IEM (not too isolating) , neutral sound Indie/Alt Rock
I'm going to be running ampless for a while, source will be a Nano 6g... I'm looking for an IEM that does not have a ton of isolation, I like to hear a bit of what goes on around me. I have pretty small ear canals, but my experience with IEM's is pretty limited at best. Most of my music...- c0mfortably_numb

Looking for opinions on ipod Nano 6th gen vs 1st gen sound quality, also dock connector questions.
Quote: If I knew what I was going to get back I probably would of kept my first gen too, I was a tad nervous though as it was getting warmer and warmer on recharges. The funniest thing, I seriously think the replacement 6th gen runs even hotter...also nothing I have works on it...- c0mfortably_numb

iPod Nano 6th gen Dock > audio line out - >no sound
Well I just spent a wonderful hour and a half on the phone with tech support, senior tech support, and lastly someone to discuss "Apple's Polices" with me. Senior tech support was trying to tell me that if the 3.5mm audio outputs audio to the iBuds, synchs and charges...then as far as...- c0mfortably_numb

iPod Nano 6th gen Dock > audio line out - >no sound
Yea 1st gen replacement, if I knew what I was getting stuck with I would of just kept the first gen..though it was getting quit toasty in the last year or two. Doing a restore on this thing now and see if that will fix it, been with out a portable source for 7 weeks now.- c0mfortably_numb

iPod Nano 6th gen Dock > audio line out - >no sound
Just got a replacement Nano today, 6th generation, I tried both a Turbo dock (V12? I can't remember) and an ALO bling bling dock to Govibe 5. I'm getting no audio. Do these new iPods only work with headphones connected, or do I need a different dock now? Just one more thing I'm not...- c0mfortably_numb

Looking for opinions on ipod Nano 6th gen vs 1st gen sound quality, also dock connector questions.
I sent my first gen back to Apple after reading there email stating there is the chance of overheating and or catching fire. Fast forward 7 weeks, Apple is finally sending me a replacement Nano, I checked the serial number on there site and the replacement is a 6th gen. Can anyone that's...- c0mfortably_numb

Windows 7 + EMU0404 PCI + WASPI? ASIO? TOSLINK to ex DAC (new to WIN 7 used to run XP via ASIO)
Thanks, I just tried that, still same unrecovereable error. Can it be Patchmix? Right now it shows ASIO Out31/32 Insert send out to PCI L/R there is S/PDIF but that isn't ticked off, I tried checking it but it didn't make a difference Anyone have a working session to use WASPI?- c0mfortably_numb

Well I got it working via ASIO, I was under the impression Windows 7 used WASPI not ASIO. Anyone have opinions on which is better ASIO, or WASPI, better in terms of Bit-Perfect.- c0mfortably_numb
