Japanese Brand IEM Thread
Nice - I'd buy these blind because of the first two releases; will ASAP. Deciphering Google Translated descriptions is always tricky but I'll try it too.- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
So, I absolutely don't have the lowdown, and I still don't know the significance of "Makana" although it apparently translates as "common". I considered it might be a retailer like E-earphone. The Intime blog says "This is a recommended product for its delicate sound grain and flat frequency...- BX700

JVC HA-FD01 Class S Solidege
The more IEMs I hear the more I'm convinced that the FD02 are absolute classics. They've been so near the top of my ranking so long I might need to concede they're the best I have. I haven't even heard the FD01s; I'm not sure I need to.- BX700

Techno, Electro & Underground Beats
Do love the stuff he makes: it's a reference point. Just purposeful, underproduced, dancefloor stuff for me, which is what underground means. -
Official Campfire Audio Multiverse III Effect - predictions, updates, & discussion
Dang, I had hopes for the axions, but they don't seem special enough to go for new. Maybe look for a used pair later.- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
There are these threads. Be good to keep them going too. Currently have the O.G. Duoza (Smooth, big body, big soundstage) and the Zirco Tenore (good mids, body) as well as the Doppio...- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
It was the IEM that first got me hooked, and it still holds up IMO: I still like the well implemented BAs, neutral tuning, and compact design. I swapped on wider bore tips to make it sound more spaced out though. Did have the Carbo Basso before that but lost it :sob: I've essentially been...- BX700

PLANAR IEMs fans thread-Impressions, suggestions, ranking list, techs
Sure, with EQ, but what I learned about the S6 recently is that it's very much Harman tuned. There is an irony there as IIRC other models advertised as "reference" tuned (R-220) have an FR like Etymotics.- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
There are a lot of discontinued models. This one was like a prototype of the Maestraudio IEMs with the same heart-shaped shell but with a (active) VST tweeter. Details will be searchable in the thread. I've been saying Kokoro, but maybe Cocoro is the correct spelling. I have seen it referred to...- BX700

Japanese Brand IEM Thread
I felt I'd overlooked Radius, maybe because I find their shell design unappealing tbh. Started looking at their driver spec and became curious: large diameter DDs paired with piezos, and dual magnet DDs. Not all the FR graphs I saw were promising though. Funnily enough the W300, which seems...- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
YO is one of the older E-earphone special editions, the first Intime model I got. It's quite a big, vivid, lush sound, "musical", you would say. It's definitely organic sounding, but not naturalistic/neutral.- BX700

Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
True that graphs really don't tell the whole story. For example, I wonder whether bass speed or punch is represented on a graph. It's very much a quantative measurement of a single parameter. That said, despite having not heard the OG Miyabi I would not have expected it to sound artificial...- BX700

The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.
Crisis of Criticism Everything sounds pretty good. Having a very tentative foray into DIY earphones at the moment, and finding out that just popping a DD in a shell unfiltered sounds decent, actually. Sortof undermines the whole hobby. Only caveat is that Aliexpress DIY jobs will lie/mislead...- BX700
