  1. CVJ Angel Wings

    2.00 star(s)
CVJ Angel Wings is CVJ's latest budget hybrid IEM. It comes in at $24.99usd with a 1DD+1BA hybrid configuration. In terms of unboxing experience, I think this is CVJ's best unboxing experience to date! It has a pretty looking anime art piece on the outer box, and upon opening the box, I am presented with a set of silicone ear tips (S,M,L), a 4 core SPC cable, and the IEM itself. As mentioned above, this is CVJ's best unboxing experience to date. However, the included cables are DOA, a.k.a Dead On Arrival. Because of this, I have to use my CVJ CSN's...
  2. TRI i3 Pro in-ear monitors 1planar+1DD+1BA

    4.00 star(s)
Tri i3 Pro is Tri (KB Ear)'s latest take on a tri-bird IEM. It is the successor to the well-regarded Tri i3 and it comes in at $189usd ($40usd more than Tri i3). It sports a 3 driver configuration, with 1DD for the bass, 1BA for the mids, and 1 Planar driver for the highs. Upon opening the "space-themed" box, I have presented a pleather case, 2 different types of ear tips (3 pairs of stock eartips and 5 pairs of KB Ear a07), a cleaning brush, a 3.5mm OFC cable, and last but not least, the IEM itself. In terms of unboxing experience, I think that...
  3. Hisenior Fe3 Universal (Fe3U)

    4.00 star(s)

It retails for $249usd and it sports 3 Sonion BA drivers (Sonion 33AJ and 2323) with 1BA for the lows, 1BA for the mids, and 1BA for the highs. Upon opening the box, I am presented with a rounded aluminum case, a few sets of tips, a 3.5mm 8core silver-plated OCC cable, a microfiber cloth, and last but not least, the IEM itself. Overall, pretty happy with the unboxing experience here. I love how simple the box design is. It is just all black with the "Febos" logo on it...
  4. Astrotec Lyra Mini

    1.50 star(s)
Ever blasted loud music from your phone's speaker before? Yeah. That is how the Astrotec Lyra Mini sounds like to me…. Astrotec Lyra Mini is Astrotec's earbud offering at the sub-$100usd price range. It retails for $98usd and it sports a 14mm dynamic driver. Upon opening the box, I am presented with a carrying pouch, a pair of ear hooks, a few donut foams (which came disintegrated and unusable), a brush, and last but not least, the IEM itself. Overall, pretty decent unboxing experience nonetheless. Other than the disintegrated foams (which is...
  5. Hisenior T2 Classic

    4.00 star(s)
Hisenior T2 Classic is Hisenior's 2BA offering at the sub-$150usd price range. It retails for $119usd and it sports 2 Knowles BA drivers, with one handling low-mid and the other handling the highs. In terms of unboxing experience, I can't speak too much of as the unit I got was a review unit with no box. However, what I can do is speak on what I got. My review unit comes with 5 different sizes of silicone ear tips, 1 set of foam tips (small), a pelican case, an MMCX 3.5mm SPC cable, and lastly, the IEM itself. Overall, pretty happy with the...
  6. Tanchjim Hana 2021

    4.50 star(s)
Tanchjim Hana 2021 is Tanchjim's latest 1DD IEM offering at the sub-$200usd price range. It retails for $180usd and features a 3rd gen DMT technology Dynamic Driver (same as the OG Hana). In terms of unboxing experience, I think Tanchjim nailed it. Upon opening the beautiful rose gold themed square box, I am presented with a beautiful white compact carrying case, 2 different types of tips (wide/narrow bore), a 3.5mm OFC cable, backup filters, and lastly, the IEM itself. The overall presentation and unboxing experience of the Hana 2021 is amazing...

    3.00 star(s)
KB Ear Robin is KB Ear's latest budget IEM release. It is a hybrid IEM with a 1DD/4BA configuration and it comes in at $54usd. Upon opening the box, I am presented with 2 different types of silicone tips (black and white), each with 3 different sizes (S, M, L), a 2-pin 3.5mm copper cable, a slim carrying case, and last but not least, the IEM itself. Regarding the tips, I find the black tips to sound better as it sounds fuller and more balanced while the white tips, on the other hand, sounds thinner. Overall, pretty impressed with the unboxing...
  8. Moondrop Quarks

    4.00 star(s)
Moondrop Quarks is Moondrop's latest IEM offering in the sub-$20usd budget realm. It comes in at a whopping $13usd and it sports a tiny 6mm Micro Dynamic Driver, which Moondrop quotes as being "micro but highly capable". The unboxing experience of the Quarks is pretty straightforward. It comes in a small and square cardboard box. Upon opening the box, I am presented with a carrying pouch, 3 sets of silicone tips (S,M,L), and the mighty IEM itself. Pretty bog simple and straightforward presentation here, but for $13usd, I am not complaining. Now...

    3.00 star(s)
CCZ Plume is CCZ's latest flagship IEM. It is a hybrid IEM with a 1DD/4BA configuration and it comes in at $239usd. In terms of unboxing experience, I think that CCZ Plume nailed it. After removing its beautifully designed box sleeve and upon opening its box, I am presented with 5 sets of CCZ a07 tips (1 of each size - S,MS,M,ML,L), 3 sets of CCZ patented silicone tips (S,M,L), a pleather case, a cloth-like 2.5mm cable, a 3.5mm converter, a 4.4mm converter, and last but not least, the golden IEM itself. 10. BGVP DN3

    3.50 star(s)
BGVP DN3 is BGVP's latest budget hybrid release (if you consider <$100usd as being "budget"). It is a hybrid IEM with a 1 BE-coated DD + 1 HEVK BA configuration (1DD/1BA). It retails for $75usd and it comes with 3 different types of tips (1 set of Memory foam / 3 sets of w01 / 3 sets of a07), a pouch, a 3.5mm SPC cable, and last but not least, the IEM itself. I find the presentation and unboxing experience here not bad, especially for $75usd. The IEM is well designed too, with a handsome looking "Arya-like" faceplate that's looks and feels premium...
  11. See Audio Bravery

    4.50 star(s)
SeeAudio Bravery is SeeAudio's latest sub-$300usd IEM. It is rocking a 4BA configuration with BA drivers from Knowles and Sonion and it retails for $279usd (Pre-order starts at $249usd). In terms of unboxing experience, I can't speak too much of as the review unit I got was a pre-release unit with no box (SeeAudio has confirmed with me that this tuning is FINAL). However, what I can do is speak on what I got. My review unit comes with 3 sets of Azla XELASTEC tips (S, M, L), a 3.5mm 2pin Hakugei cable (6N OCC - Little Harmony), and a rounded tin case...
  12. TForce Audio Yuan Li

    4.50 star(s)
TForce Yuan Li is TForce's debut IEM at around the $100usd price range. It sports a Single 10mm DLC Dynamic Driver and it retails for $119usd. Around 2 weeks ago, before Yuan Li's official launch, I have already reviewed the pre-release version. However, right before the official launch of Yuan Li, TForce (out of nowhere) announced a pretty significant tuning change to the Yuan Li. This tuning change addresses and fixes the only major complaint I have for the pre-release Yuan Li, which is its aggressive and fatiguing +13dB upper mids emphasis...
  13. Hillaudio Quro - DLC Dynamic Driver Hifi In-ear Monitor (MMCX)

    4.00 star(s)
Hillaudio Quro is Hillaudio's latest IEM release. It sports a Single 2nd gen 10mm DLC Dynamic Driver and it retails for around $15usd - $25usd, depending on the set you chose. There are 3 sets in total - Set A (IEM only), Set B (IEM + SPC cable), and Set C (IEM + Copper cable). The one I got for review is Set B which retails for $21usd. It came with no box, just a case. Inside it, there are 2 different types of tips (1 set narrow bore, and 3 sets of wide bore tips), an MMCX 8-core SPC cable, and last but not least, the IEM itself. In terms of the...
  14. Tanchjim Tanya

    4.00 star(s)
Tanchjim Tanya is Tanchjim's take on their budget entry-level 1DD IEM. It comes in at $20usd and sports a vented bullet-style shell with a 7mm Single Dynamic Driver inside. Upon opening the box, I am presenting with 2 different types of tips (wide/narrow bore), a pouch, backup filters, and lastly, the IEM itself. Honestly speaking, for $20usd, Tanchjim puts other companies into shame in terms of unboxing experience and first impressions. The presentation feels premium, complete, and well thought out. Not to mention, it comes with backup filters too...
  15. CCZ Coffee Bean

    3.00 star(s)
The CCZ Coffee Bean was sent over by HILL AUDIO - MY in exchange for an honest review. It retails for around $20usd and it sports a single 10mm dynamic driver. The unboxing experience is pretty bog generic. It comes with 3 sets of "exclusively designed" silicon tips (S, M, L), the IEM itself, and a cable. For $20usd, eh. A bit underwhelming. The box design is really nice though, with coffee bean accents all around. The "Let Music More Beautiful" gets an extra point too. Reminds me of Oppoty LetMusicBurn lol. Anyways, we are here for the sound. So...
  16. CVJ CSK

    2.00 star(s)
CVJ CSK is CVJ's latest budget hybrid IEM that comes in at $11.99usd. It sports a 1DD/1BA configuration, with its 1DD driver handling the bass and the 1BA driver handling everything else. Upon opening the box, I am presented with the IEM itself, 3 pairs of eartips (S,M,L), a thin looking SPC cable, and a pouch. The presentation is pretty generic, but hey, for $10usd, I'm not complaining. With that out of the way, let's start the review. *Disclaimer: this review is done using both stock tips and cables. PROS ✅: Very fun V-shaped tuning with...
  17. TRN ST2

    1.50 star(s)
The TRN ST2 was sent over by TRN in exchange for my honest opinions on them. And honestly, I can't recommend the TRN ST2 to anyone (unless you are willing to make some expensive modifications). I managed to make them sound good, but with a pretty high cost. I swapped the tips out for Final E ($5usd), changed the cables, and used a warm sounding source like my Zen DAC + CAN combo (Zen DAC/Hip DAC is $150usd) Without any one of the abovementioned, you will get presented with shouty and sibilance vocals… yeah. Not a pleasant experience. Anyways...
  18. Shanling M3X

    4.50 star(s)
The Shanling M3X Limited Edition needs no introduction. It is a $430usd Android-based DAP that is made in collaboration with MOONDROP and Tanchjim. The trio has tuned this limited edition M3X to provide a new warmer sound output with a darker background and better control. They have also mentioned that its tuning will work best with Tanchjim and Moondrop's IEMs. The unboxing experience here has been nothing be spectacular. The M3X Limited comes with a big white box with both Moondrop and Tanchjim's mascots in front. Once opened, I am presented with...
  19. See Audio Yume/Anou

    3.50 star(s)
SeeAudio Yume is an IEM that has been pretty hyped when it first came out a few months ago. From what I know, SeeAudio a company that is rumoured to be founded by ex-QDC employees, and they've come up with Yume as their entry-level IEM. Yume is a $169usd hybrid IEM with a 1DD/2BA configuration. Upon opening its beautiful designed box, I am presented with a case, a copper 3.5mm cable, 2 sets of tips (Silicon and Foam), and the IEM itself. Giving credits where it's due, I find the unboxing experience and accessories set to be stunning at this price...
  20. TRN MT1

    4.00 star(s)
I've been using the TRN MT1 for roughly a month and here's what I have to say about these $8usd IEMs. 1. PROS : Tuning here is amazing. The MT1 has a Balanced slight U-shaped tuning that is versatile and works for most genres. Bass is tight, clean, deep, and well-controlled. No bloaty bass mess that bleeds into the mids. Mids are full-bodied, slightly warm with great vocal presence. Treble is smooth and non-fatiguing. Great for long listening sessions! No harshness, no sibilance. Pretty detailed for the price. Hard to find another IEM at this...
