The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

No you're not missing much indeed. I have the Abyss and lcd4z and the abyss is on a different level for sure, but can't take much of boost like the audeze ones. You just need to play with the fit to get the most bass out of it. I started with sz2000 and th900 and still listen to them. Especially...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Only if you use EQ. Which you can apply in both desktop and phone app. These can rumble better than cf2 or bathys (even if you apply EQ on those 2)

Way lower... But they take EQ like crazy and the quality of the bass is really good. Sub bass is wonderful!

If you are ok using EQ the audeze maxwell have great bass

Can you damage your headphones with bass boost trough EQ when plugged directly into a motherboard?

Your headphones are fine. I've applied the most ridiculous bass boosts on my headphone collection and only in combination with a powerful amp you can damage the drivers...

    Shure AONIC 50 -

Yes EQ can be applied to anything you play through the LDAC codec. And yes v2 also needs some EQ to sound great.

    Fostex TH-909 review

Ifi pro iCAN. Has a bass BOOST that works miracles with 3 settings. Will make your th 909 slam like no tomorrow with great extension and quality

    Fostex TH900 MkII

Can't comment on the legend x, but I've the EE Nemesis and it's like the IEM version of the TH900. I also used to have the mdr z1r but I sold it. The Sony is a darker headphone and the bass is there, but I like it better on the Fostex. Fostex is a very energetic headphone while the Sony is more...

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology

With some power and EQ these things push some air and give you a good head massage. Definitely a basshead headphone after some EQ tweaking!

    Audeze LCD-4

I had and LCD 4 too with the new pads. Went for Dekoni Elite Sheepskin pads because the old pads aren't sold anymore. And these are great! Bigger soundstage and more sub bass rumble. Really recommended if you use EQ!

You can get close to the bass of the JVC with EQ. It all sounds way better. The highs are a delight to my ears... But apparently for some that's not the case....

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I've all 3. LCD2 wins in sub bass. HE6SE has best of both, sub and mid bass. TH900 has the mid bass and slam those other 2 can't reach. That's why I keep them all in my stable... This is all pushed with EQ, to max out the bass. LCD2 and TH900 can go more crazy than HE6se. HE6se is the more...

    HifiMan HE6 V2 Adorama

The bass is totally different. I have an LCD2 Classic and HE6se. The LCD2 is more bold and big, also slower. The HE6se is faster, tighter and more detailed. Both can be pushed with EQ to get to basshead levels, but LCD2 can go more insane because of that large driver...
