Way lower... But they take EQ like crazy and the quality of the bass is really good. Sub bass is wonderful!

Yes EQ can be applied to anything you play through the LDAC codec. And yes v2 also needs some EQ to sound great.

I had and LCD 4 too with the new pads. Went for Dekoni Elite Sheepskin pads because the old pads aren't sold anymore. And these are great! Bigger soundstage and more sub bass rumble. Really recommended if you use EQ!

If you want different bass I would look into planars. Monoprice M1570 or LCD-X. Insane bass with the right EQ
