perhaps a bit silly request but back in the 70's, 80's- I had a cheap plastic pair of Technic headphones. They sounded fine to my 12 year old ears and the best thing was being able to lay down- on my back- head against the pillow- close my eyes and lose myself in Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Hendrix...

Just picked up a new Mcintosh IA- love the look and sound. I am now curious to other Mcintosh products. I currently have a pair of Beyer T1 2nd gen. I do enjoy the sound, (but hate the cable.) Anyone familiar with how the Beyers perform vs the Mcintosh? 

I just picked up a Mcintosh pre/amp system. Love it. Curious anyone have or try the Mcintosh headphones? They are $$$- but what little info I can find claims they are rebranded Beyers. (?)   I thought they might pair well with my new system.   any thoughts?

Great that settles it for me. I'll save my $$$ or spend it on more vinyl. The T1 sounds real sweet to my ears right from the RA. I really don't understand all the nick picking about boxy mids and harsh treble. Thanks!
