i know, I liked the sound and build quality so much that I convinced myself that I would get used to the pain or that it would ease up with use. But that never happened :p. They are much more comfortable if I wear them over a cap or beanie, but that's exclusive to outdoor usage :).

Regarding the screeching hiss when you turn the headphones on: it is scanning for BT devices to pair with. Very annoying but you’ll get used to it after a while. It stops after a minute or so.

I use mine in bed all the time and never experienced any issues with the touch controls.

I heard the’re supposed to lie flat, but to be honest both ways work for me.

People are never satisfied, and no, there’s no perfect wireless headphone out there. But for what it’s worth, the h9i is the best on the market right now.

I agree with most things you write, but I gotta say I love the proximity sensor. I tend to put my headphones on and off a lot at work and this function is very convenient. I also never have any issues with it being over sensitive. But it needs to calibrate every time the earphones are turned on...

Put on some music and you won’t hear the noise. And after a little while it’s gone.

Yup, I have the exakt same issue. The noise disappears by itself after a while though. I haven’t measured exactly how long, but perhaps a couple of minutes.
