Bluetooth 5 vs 4.2 headphone range

Is there anyone here who owns a pair of the latest gen headphones with BT 5 and can tell if there’s any real difference in indoor wireless range compared to a 4.2 headphone? In theory, according to the BT spec, version 5 should have four times the range of that of 4.2. But is that the case in...

You mean something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Headphone-Replacement-Headphones-QuietComfort-Installation/dp/B01MXH78NW/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=headband+cover&qid=1574268731&sr=8-13 I've thought about it but I can't find one that specificaly fits the b&o h9(i). Also, they are very ugly, but...

i know, I liked the sound and build quality so much that I convinced myself that I would get used to the pain or that it would ease up with use. But that never happened :p. They are much more comfortable if I wear them over a cap or beanie, but that's exclusive to outdoor usage :).

Does anyone have any other idea on how to avoid pressure point ache from the h9i headband? I can barely wear mine for more than 30 minutes straight, and I've had them for more than a year. I tried wrapping a piece of cloth around the headband to get some extra cushioning, but I would like a...

That is the only issue I’ve ever had with my H9i’s. Unfortunately, it’s still an issue a year after I bought them. I have to adjust them at least every 30 minutes when the pressure point build up. I’m been thinking of doing some McGyver padding solution with duct tape and an old sock or...

Regarding the screeching hiss when you turn the headphones on: it is scanning for BT devices to pair with. Very annoying but you’ll get used to it after a while. It stops after a minute or so.

I use mine in bed all the time and never experienced any issues with the touch controls.

I heard the’re supposed to lie flat, but to be honest both ways work for me.

People are never satisfied, and no, there’s no perfect wireless headphone out there. But for what it’s worth, the h9i is the best on the market right now.

I turn them on, put them on a flat surface, wait until the led light goes off, put them on my head. Done!

I agree with most things you write, but I gotta say I love the proximity sensor. I tend to put my headphones on and off a lot at work and this function is very convenient. I also never have any issues with it being over sensitive. But it needs to calibrate every time the earphones are turned on...

Put on some music and you won’t hear the noise. And after a little while it’s gone.

Yup, I have the exakt same issue. The noise disappears by itself after a while though. I haven’t measured exactly how long, but perhaps a couple of minutes.
