I just heard my Thridi on Accuphase C-11 preamp, but the headphone amp there is very analytical (Which is quite strange for Accuphase :), but sounds great with B&W 803 floorstanders ) and through Mytek Liberty, but the amp there is not as detailed as needed for Thridi. I have Thridi and Trafomatic Head 2 with Siemens 70's tubes and it is a very nice combination. Very musical, detailed and smooth. AC/DC or Black Sabbath sound fantastic on them :) But you can probably also look at Auris or Feliks audio tube headphone amplifiers.

I do not find the Audeze LCD-3 or Campfire Cascade too bass overpowering, so I think I will be fine with them. So how does the bass level and punch stand to Thridi and Ghorn? Do you find it also bass light?

Please, do you know how is Wodan in comparison to Thekk and Thridi? And one more question regarding the Gjallarhorn. Does stock version also have hot treble? I'm not big fan of hot treble, just nice meaty bass like Thridi has. Thank you.

Any more information when we should be expecting them. I'm thinking about getting Ultrasone Edition 15 closed, but will hold off with purchase, if it is planned for this year. I would love them to be based on Thekk, but I'm more than happy with my Thridi :)

With Ultrasone Edition 5 it is different story and I agree it is better to hardwire it the MMCX connectors are just pure evil :) But I would go the extra mile to Noir MKII, it is worth it :)

I had a similar issue with Ultrasone Edition 5 and the Noir Hybrid was too peaky. Then I got the Noir MKII and it nicely tamed the highs and I am very happy with it. I don't think there is that much of a trade off and the most important thing is it will make your listening experience more pleasent.
