Holo Audio Bliss
It did, but I believe the burn in rather happened between my ears  Have found repeatedly that I need some time to get used and adjusted to changes in my audio chain when I swapped out components, happened also with pre-owned and well used equipment.- Bertel

Holo Audio Bliss
Yes, I did. To clarify that and get some more insight whether the overal presentation including the whole chain now still is mostly linear, I intend to do some measurements with my Sound Professional MS-TFB-2 when I find the time.- Bertel

Holo Audio Bliss
Bliss goes straight to the wall (as the Ferrum stack did), May goes through a moderate line filter (MFE DF1+). In addition I have all other devices in the room connected to filters and iFi Power X where possible, to avoid them incluencing the audio chain's power. No, with LCD-5 for me it was/is...- Bertel

Holo Audio Bliss
Thank you. My experience and perception comparing Ferrum Oor+Hypsos and Bliss with the LCD-5 is exactly the other way round - details, clarity and transparency is Bliss, relaxed bigger sound (but smaller soundstage) is Ferrum. I‘m selling Ferrum stack and keeping Bliss.- Bertel

Holo Audio Bliss
Many thanks for pointing that out - I wasn't aware that Matrix also accepts .wav files, not only .txt as I had thought (and used for some headphones in the past, e.g. for @oratory1990 EQ) I'll give putting Mitch's filters in Matrix (and disabling Convolution) a try, as you say I wouldn't expect...- Bertel

No, Mitch's filter came as a .wav file, which I reference in the Convolution section. Do you have a different version / file format / individual settings from Mitch? I thought his FIR filters always come in .wav format?- Bertel

Thank you, that's a very good point, which I second as well - I forgot to mention that I already use Mitch's filter for the LCD-5 too, in HQPlayer's Convolution engine. The filter only corrects up to 7kHz though, so I thought maybe the area above that is what's bothering me. Anyway, will need to...- Bertel

Holo Audio Bliss
I‘m in my third week now with Audeze LCD-5 on Bliss. Previously used the LCD-5 with Ferrum Oor+Hypsos and had been very satisfied, but I‘m amazed by how much better the Bliss drives it - expansion of soundstage, both horizontal and depth, speed and accuracy, treble extension, clarity and...- Bertel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
Same here: I have replaced my Topping A90 last week with Ferrum OOR and HYPSOS stack, driving my Dan Clark Audio Stealth, and also for me the Ferrum stack clearly excels in the aspects Gavin mentions. Good to know that both units measure well, but for me this is another indication that a unit's...- Bertel

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
Can you please share some evidence for this? So far I have only read about mostly the absence of distortion, and that is my impression as well when listening to the SR1as.- Bertel

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I don't see why you would need two to use as monoblocks, one is absolutely sufficient. In my humble opinion, the Benchmark is the most "correct", or I should rather say neutral reference to start with, as it doesn't produce any distortions and colorations. My humble advice would be: give this a...- Bertel

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I use the Benchmark HPA4 as preamp and AHB2 as power amp and couldn‘t be happier. I totally buy into the reported (and measured!) neutrality, clarity and transparency of the Benchmarks without any coloration and distortion, which in my perception complement the SR1a‘s virtues extremely well...- Bertel

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Given the company‘s history in professional audio with a monitoring DNA for mixing and recording, I would expect (and hope for) a neutral approach. Kind of the Benchmark way. Which by the way would be my preferred pairing, HEDDphone with HPA4 or AHB2.- Bertel
