That's a big change to the FR response (+- -7db @ 5kHz), I can imagine it darkens the presentation.

I've had a similar issue when they were new (bought mine Jan. 2015), i.e. "hotspot" on top of your head. A proper setting of the yokes is also important, have you experimented with that? I wear mine for hours without any comfort issues.   There's also an alternative additional headband option...

+1, I've found their service exceptional; received very fast and to the point responses to some questions I had w.r.t. Ragnarok. 

It's fixed, the volume control only changes output of the amplified outputs.

I have run into the same problem as well recently (my pair is 5 months old with only an hour or so of use per day).   I don't think it is reasonable one would have to buy a set of $100 pads every couple of months to retain a normal comfort level.    Anyone can comment whether replacement...
