Sennheiser HD820
As this is a niche-niche market, for which they had to do all the development, the extra is justified.- Audiotic

Sennheiser HD820
First experience with the Dekoni Hybrids on the HD820: very comfortable, more than the original ones. Plus the headphones sit better on my head. The positioning issue is gone! They always immediately sit well now. They are a bit thicker, which may be part of the reason they always sit snug...- Audiotic

Sennheiser HD820
Would the Dekoni pads do the trick? https://dekoniaudio.com/product/dekoni-audio-epz-hd800-hyb-elite-hybrid-ear-pads-for-sennheiser-hd800-headphones/ Seems they work for the 820 as well. Anyone having experience with Dekoni?- Audiotic

You need a powerful amp. I use the Schiit Mjolnir 2 (tube hybrid) and am happy.- Audiotic

Love to here your comparison. I compared mine (just above 500...) to the LCD. And the nasality, noticed that to, bit goes away if pressed a bit to the head, so must be sound leakage. I will try some alt headpads at the West German Hifi in September, guess they’ll have some. I hope.- Audiotic

A short review of HD820 vs Audeze LCD-XC's
On another thread I wrote a counter review, comparing the Audeze LCD-X with the HD 820. I own both. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/sennheiser-hd820.846244/page-117#post-14356021- Audiotic

I noticed yesterday that the impact of the earpads on the sound, and then the nasality in particular, is quite large. When I press the headphones a bit onto my head (sideways) so there is no more gap or imperfect fit, the sound improves, the residual nasality is gone. This would actually be...- Audiotic

In this market niche, price is subjective, next to the high investment costs of Sennheiser for a likely small market. These costs will have to be returned, but over a smaller number of headphones. So, it does make sense to me, this is how business works.- Audiotic
