I loved how mine looked when I first got them, but as my hair is blue it started to turn the headband blue as well...the headphones even with regular cleaning looked extremely tacky 3 months after purchase...prefer 595's for colored hair friendly black headband and ear cups!

558 and the fiio will sound brilliant, flatmate has the same setup for a very similar taste in music and absolutely loves it!   Fiio e11 is very balanced, and sounded amazing even with my audio technica AD900's, have also used it to listen to 558 and 598 and thoroughly enjoyed the sound.

Yikes, lucky we don't get weather that cold in Auckland, I used to wear my 595's in light rain and stuff (bmxing home and suddenly theres a shower, love New Zealand weather), and they've survived fine, I can't wait to get them recabled, now I'm looking to pair up my 598's with a portable amp...
