I've managed to drive the more demanding QUAD ERA-1 and FINAL Audio D8000 with high gain at 40/100 volume in MangoOS at decent volumes. T1 should have no problems.

Any Android DAP that can sideload apps with a Lineout will do. FiiO M11 would be a great choice as their own app allows for what you described and has lineout function. It's also very feature rich for its price and has one of the most responsive UI among the current selection of DAPs atm.

I'm not a fan of the Andros but I tried the pairing and I, at the very least, was more favourable of the sound than pairing it with R3.

I'd like to add to this that DX220 has APKPure and CoolAPK pre-loaded into the device, so there should not be any problem trying to install other apps if needed, unless you really need the Google Play services to verify stuff like UAPP purchase.

MangoOS is accessed by holding the power button in Android mode, which prompts a menu to switch off/restart/go to MangoOS.
