Aliexpress Cables
1. Have your entire system plugged into the wall via one quality mains cable and unprotected power distributor. 2. Run to the wall and pull out plug when lightning storm arrives. 3. (optional) Check weather app and pull out plug in advance the night before.- agisthos

Aliexpress Cables
I needed a 2nd power distributor so got this Grey Knight model... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008625890027.html This is no thin aluminum shell, its a full cnc machined piece, weighs a ton. I don't think you could get a better built power strip for the money.- agisthos

That's really interesting I had no idea that Teradak even did an network switch. A sleeper? You say it best SW6+Clock and the SW10? Is that with a SMPS or with the matching Teradak LPS?- agisthos

Nordost Cables Thread
@whitedragem Naim gear has this reputation for sounding forward, no soundstage, flat earth e.t.c It's caused by their rubbish cables and ancillaries. I now have a partial Naim setup and can confirm its not the Naim equipment itself that has this sound. Put decent speaker cables, decent power... -
Mark Levinson № 5909 headphone
I am waiting for the next/future ML model. I liked the 5909 so much I wish I did not sell it last year (to fund stereo hifi purchases). Perhaps I will buy another!- agisthos

Audio Grade Fuses
Yeah it seems they are not really available anymore. My dealer in Australia has them https://recordclean.com.au/ Even with shipping cost the AUS exchange rate would make it worth buying from them. This sucks, because Telos used to make the best RCA/BNC/XLR blocking caps, far better than some...- agisthos

Audio Grade Fuses
Getting back to you - in my power amplifier the Telos Quantum X2 fuse was much better than the SR Blue after immediately switching, and then with just 30 hours break in it's absolutely killing it. For the money ($70 for the 5x20 and $100 for the 6x32) its really impressive. I now have 4x Telos...- agisthos

The gap between LHY SW-6 and the Matrix SS-1 Pro is larger than going from a generic Netgear switch to SW-6. Its a huge upgrade. Surprising. You get used to incremental upgrades most of the time, but this one seems very good. It's early days, and no break in, but I can say if you are thinking...- agisthos

Mark Levinson № 5909 headphone
Did you guy them 2nd hand? Because its a bad sale if the person selling did not tell you about the issue. But we are talking about the crackling sound when moving?- agisthos

Audio Grade Fuses
Did you guys hack a normal SDFB or has Vera-Fi released the OEM module for internal use? I am waiting for the internal module to put in my amp during a future DIY upgrade.- agisthos

Anyway I'm getting one soon, so will let you guys know how it compares to LHY SW-6. The chassis build quality is off the charts for a sub 2k product.- agisthos

I currently have the LHY SW-6 and my next switch upgrade was going to be the Nordost QNET + Source power supply. But its quite expensive. Matrix Audio has recently released 2 switches, both a ground up custom design, not a repurposed commercial switch. The Matrix SS-1 Pro is the higher end...- agisthos

@bluenight That's what I do to assess network/power/grounding upgrades. Use picture quality on an ISF calibrated OLED. Its easier to see better/worse with a good TV, because sometimes certain music tracks can be preferable with distortion. A good switch like the SW-6 brought about all the...- agisthos

I'm sure it improved a bit with burn in. I try not to listen to any component for the first few hours its always bad.- agisthos
