So I have a pair of the old bose in ears(the ones without the right angle plug) and since they see a fair amount of abuse in my pocket and such the connection from the wire to the fat plug has seemed to stopped working properly. Now I can only hear music through one ear and if I finagle the wire...

Hmmm ok so I should probably look into getting a DAC then. So Im not willing to spend too much, probably under 100, I cant really justify spending anymore as a poor college student, especially since most of my music is in high quality mp3. So should I go for a DIY one or just get like the 60$...
