Can someone tell me if this T1S amp can work on US voltage? It lists 100V,117V, 220V, 240V on the rear but under the plug says 240V can you just plug in the US power cord and it'll work?- 2Erly

The Stax Thread III
Thanks for the responses. On the technical side, I will be using a transformer 1st, probably an SRD7 with my power amp; is this sufficient?. I asked this before regarding the 009s but apparently the 007s are more difficult to drive. My amp specs are: Continuous Power Output 120w +...- 2Erly

Can someone give me some insight on which I should lean towards given my experiences & preferences? Im also a 1 headphone kind of guy so while I...- 2Erly

Speaker amps for headphones
So I tried some a vintage Nikko Alpha 230 Amp + Nikko Beta 30 PReamp that I found around my house and they sounded great with my LCD2s and plan on using them when I pick up my 009s. My issue is the controls on my pre-amp are not responding (Volume, bass, treble, balance, etc) This a...- 2Erly

Hmmm. I've been looking around and have been entertaining the idea of picking up a pair of 009s. I'm more of a plug and play guy and don't know much about the technical side of things so excuse my ignorance, but I was looking at picking them up with a Woo audio WEE and using a pair of vintage...- 2Erly

D7000, decision...
It seemed funny to me at first too, but it looks like its what happens alot of the time. I actually got the denons for a little under $800 new, wasn't able to get that great deal on em that was going on a couple months ago. I wasn't actually planning on buying a new Burson for 1299, 800 used for...- 2Erly

D7000, decision...
Thanks for the help so far guys. I have my denon D7000s now, running them straight from my MBP and they sound crazy even now. I actually decided I may up my price limit to 800-1k after hearing these things lol. Im considering a Burson 160D as a amp/dac, would you say that's a large upgrade from...- 2Erly

Quote: Thanks for the replies everyone. The headphones alone are a huge jump for me. Im completely stumped, there are so many options and it's not like I've had other experiences to draw from. I will try this combo. Im guessing I'll need to get a pair of those schiit PYST cables...- 2Erly
