The clips that notch into the headphone adjustment divots on the headband are very loose, and I could also make do with a new headband I think. I wear these things on average 10 yours a day and I've had them almost 3 years now, been through 3 sets of ear pads hehe. They could use a spruce up to be 'good as new'.

If you take apart the 2 screws at either end of the headband you open up the adjuster and inside that, and attatched to the aluminum ear piece is a little piece of plastic that is responsible for clicking against the adjustment holes on the aluminum part. I need to find 2 of those so that my adjustments stay, right now it takes almost no force to make them move, and there is a lot of play.

I am also looking for a new headband. My 880's came with the plastic and foam band, and I'm looking for something leather if possible, or a new headband if not.

Any ideas? Google was unfruitful.

Beyerdynamic has an authorized repair service setup with Sound Surgeon Inc. in Smithtown, NY, surgeon2@optonline.net
Not sure if they stock the parts your looking for.

There is a link to Beyerdynamic's repair web page.

Just call them and the contact number listed on their website and tell them what you need. I've ordered all the parts you mentioned before that way. Another handy tip is that you can also order Manufaktur version of parts as well if you ask about them.

Thanks, I found an email address for their USA office in NYC. I'm waiting to hear back.

I don't know why I never followed up on this but I had emailed Beyerdynamic USA back in 2013 and received a reply January 7 2013. In a nutshell they sent me the parts I needed for free and they arrived a few days later. Mike Terranova a Sales Support Specialist was the one who took care of me.
