Hi All,

What's the song limit in qp1r with latest firmware? is it still 20,000? what happen to those songs beyond 20,000? unplayable?

Thanks

I believe songs beyond the limit are still playable via directly playing them from a file search

The random play function is effected .. it will only select one of the 20K songs in the created 'library' .. so any functions using the 'library' are limited

Just acquired a used QP1R and I'm delighted by the sound. (Who wouldn't be?)
I've searched the forum and googled til my fingers bleed but can't find the answers to:
1 Is the user manual available on line?
2 Is there any way of obtaining the wheel skin? I've contacted Questyle as suggested here but no joy yet

Help appreciated

Welcome aboard. I found the best source of info about the QP is post No. 1 of this thread. Moedawg140 does a thorough review which is better than any manual. If you look at the begining of the review, you'll find a table of contents which will guide you to the proper parts of the review, related to operation. Enjoy.

1. Check my review of the QP1R (first post of this thread) (Q5) Inside the Questyle QP1R box -- I posted pictures of the manual there. If you want to learn how the QP1R works, chances are it is discussed in the review or in the thread (without needing to Google until your fingers bleed anymore), as regular posters are quite helpful (as you've seen already!)
2. Contact @bSquared64 or @Netforce from Questyle for a wheel skin - they will hook you up.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the replies guys, particularly moedawg140 for your awesome review which I refer to often! I have dloaded the pics, added them to a Word doc, saved them as a PDF and put it onto my iPad for reference!
I guess I was surprised that Questyle had not put a PDF manual for the Questyle on their website.
Thanks also for the links. I got the hint to spit on my fingers before using the wheel - pretty gross and not a long term solution for meWhat a great forum!!

I just love DAPs! If I won LOTTO I will have every single one on the market. I love my Questyle QP1R, but the Lotoo Paw Gold Diana is such a stout, sexy, retroactive beast. It is so beautiful in person and very complimentary to the Questyle QP1R if you're looking for complimentary DAPs. This hobby becomes as addictive as drugs or gambling.

I know that I am off subject, but these two DAPs should be in everyone's collection.

I personally think that the EQ on the Questyle QP1R is quite nice. I usually set a V to U shaped frequency curve.

What's a Passport? A friend lost his external drive to failure, and I'd hate that to happen to me. So I'm looking for a backup solution.

Western Digital USB passport is a portable USB hard disk drive. I use one for travel so I can carry my files and music on trips.
It also makes for a good off site storage option.
I realize it's off-topic, but I thought you might be interested to see AnandTech's detailed review of the 1 TB Passport. I imagine you'd find it worth your time.

Best regards,
Brian

I have everything I own, both lossless audiobooks and music duplicated five times over on 8tb WD My Book external hard drives. Yes, I am both OCD and paranoid. They are all stored in separate locations, with one always with me in a pack.
