Or get yourself a Step Down/Step Up transformer. When I bought my G109S from Thomann they sent me the 230v version (I live in Canada) and Fried suggested that would be the easiest solution.

I'm surprised the RS08 isn't a very popular balanced amp. I spent some time with it and its larger Violectric cousins at canjam. This little guy absolutely holds its own against the V280 and V281 which are total monsters. The difference into 300ohm cans is more a matter of sound signature than capability. I really enjoyed the RS08 balanced into the ZMF Eikons (which is what I'm looking to pair with) and am now a little stumped between the RS08 vs V280. I'm a bit drawn to the 280 sound, but like the price and simplicity/neutrality of the RS08.
It is a dorky little guy with the colors of its RCA ports goofed up, but it really puts in the effort where it counts!

The difference in signature is likely due to the RS08 being a spiritual successor to the V100 and the V280/V281 being a spiritual successor to the V200. Building on different starting foundations.
Given that, is the assumption right, that V181 then will be always inferior to all the others in terms of SQ? .... Asking because I am looking to buy an amp with an 4p-XLR for my HD800 and considered also the HPA 08 instad of V181 (2nd hand).
I cant decide between rs 02 and hall of famer arcam rhead. I use hd 650 single ended. Both are lifting the veil? Is that so importent. I want to uppgrade my amp from musical fidelity x-can v3, it sounds great but is getting old now. No idea if that one is lifting the veil, its pleasent sounding though and i dont want it to sound to harsh.
I have not yet heard the RS 02, but based on the variety of other Lake People/Violectric amps, I'm confident it will sound great. And you already know my thoughts on the rHead from my InnerFidelity review. Both would likely satisfy.
I end up using the rHead for almost all of my IEM listening on the home system. It sounds excellent and tracks well even at low volumes. The Lake People is probably more powerful and better for difficult planars, as Lake/Vio gear tends to excel in that area especially. So it really comes down to your usage. HD650 could go either way.
I haven't heard an X-Can in ages so I can't say how big the difference might be. Sorry.

I think also both will satisfy which ever i choose. I am leaning towards rs 02, more power seems always nice . Actually i use my headphones mostly for tv series and movie whatching often netflix and youtube streaming and i never listen to high quality music files. Listening to headphones takes you deeper in to the movie experience.
It was thanks to your arcam rhead review that got me intrested in lake people amps also which i never had heard about before.
I have now ordered a rs 02 . Does ss amps have a brake in time before they sound there best? And what is the best pre gain combination setting with hd 650?
