Just updated, was hopeful but my two issues are still there. 1. when using the fiio docking station audio volume gets cut by half when paused for more than a minute or so. 2. Storage location gets reset if anything other than internal is selected with my streaming app Napster/Rhapsody. I hope these are still being looked at for a future release. I do love this ting and use it daily.

Seems very interesting but is the stacking kit incompatible with the leather case? I love the leather case so much but sometimes I just want to stack up my X5iii and Mojo / E12. (I also wonder if the OTG will work perfectly with the Mojo one day).

Actually the cover has surfaces above and below the screen to hold it with the new stacking kit. I already use the bands in that way with no problem so the stacking kit should be even easier

in 1.1.5 beta ? cause in earlier or current frmware this is not the case. Fiio engineers confirmed it.
I also made several tests and all apps i've tested so far output to 48Khz.

I'd say the issue is with those apps or your test methodology then.

This is with firmware going back to 1.1.2, which is what my unit originally shipped with.

I have all the left had buttons and volume turned on in "Key lock" settings, but they don't work when I turn the screen off. Am I doing something wrong?
Hmmm is turned On turning on the Lock rather then turning on the Key (the diagram on the previous ones was easier to figure).
Generally I've found a lot of option logic to be inverted from the way I'd think it. :confused:

Dear friends,

FiiO Releases the New Firmware FW1.1.5 for X5 3rd gen now!

<snip>

The following changes and improvements have been made to the FW1.1.5 compared to the FW1.1.4:
<snip>
9. Fixed issue where some third-party apps could not scan for the local music;
<snip>

Not sure about others' experiences but my copy of MediaMonkey Pro (the Android app not the desktop app) is still unable to scan for music on the microSD card. I can play the tracks via MediaMonkey if I browse the folders and choose tracks but a library scan of /sdcard1/Music/ fails to find anything.

I know what you mean. Tried it on (Green) and off. Neither way works.

I can't be doing anything wrong. It says something like "Choose which buttons you want active when the screen is turned off".

So far, I have had this unit 4 hours and found two faults.

EDIT: After turning it off for a while, the buttons are know working. Trouble is, it's been off a few times. Whatev!

I could have sworn that in prior versions of the X5III firmware pressing the chapter skip back button would take you back to the beginning of the currently playing track if it has been playing for more than a few seconds and take you to the previous track if you are at the beginning of a track.

But with 1.1.5, I'm finding that chapter skip back (hard or soft button) just jumps to the previous track regardless of how far into the current track I'm in. It's driving me nuts.

Am I misremembering this?

Nah you aren't. In 1.1.4 I would love to do that to certain songs and after a few dozen seconds the back button will replay song from 0:00.

Though in 1.1.5 it's changed? R.I.P replay track

I have just been playing around with mine and on both the touch key and hardware key it will jump back to the beginning of the song once you have played at least 10 seconds, under ten seconds it jumps to the previous song.

I have not changed any default settings, however, all of my hardware keys function on a black screen.

My assessment, this is more a stability firmware upgrade than a feature firmware upgrade... as a matter of fact, I do not really see anything new. So far working good though.
