Hi all,
Greetings to all of you, glad to be finally joining with you after some time lurking.
I am buying my first audiophile headphones, and i decided to get Beyerdynamics DT770 Pros. Im also going to pair them with some amp/dac combo and i was looking at Fiio E10K. But i was wondering, would be for example E17K or E12A be a better choice for these cans? E12A is like 90€ more in my country than E10K, but i would put more money into E12A if i knew the would be better thank E10K. Also if it helps, i will be using my laptop/iphone and im listening to Hip Hop, EDM and Rock/Metal mostly and like to have more bass (Thats why i chosed 770 Pro 80ohm).
Thanks

Since you are looking at the Fiio line of products, I would just go with the X5 II if you could swing it. Then you have a more versatile product. You can use it as a portable music player, as DAC/amp for your laptop, and an amp for your iphone.

Instead of going with an E12 or E12a, I would recommend going with an A5, which has the best of both the E12 and E12a (power and noise floor) in one chassis. It's a better value, IMO. You might read about it and see what you think. It just might work.

Thanks for replies. Portable player really isnt necessary for that price and A5 needs separate DAC. So i think that now its just E10K vs E17K. E10K is for 90€ and E17K for 140€. Do you think i would benefit more from E17K paired with DT770 80Ohms?
