Since most here seem to promise a "big improvement" by adding a headphone amp and dac I'll try to bring stuff a bit closer back to reality 
Yes there will be an improvement from some headphone amps/dacs if you now mostly use it from your phone, but if you use it from a proper CD player or a halfway proper soundcard I wouldnt expect radically upgraded sound, more like subtle changes.
The headphone itself makes the much bigger part of the sound quality.
And thats from someone who has invested an over 5 digit sum into amps, dacs and stuff
