New Head-Fier
Pros: small, portable, compact, robust chassis, great detail, enough power
Cons: a bit heavy for its size, but not much of an issue
As mentioned on Erzetich Audio website, this headphone amplifier is great for studio as well as listening to music. This mini headphone amplifier is mini only in its size. Sound is powerful enough to drive my range of studio headphones and detail is amazing. I've had about four headphone amplifiers previously, ranging from 120 to 500 USD, but this one just fits me right - it is portable (since I work sometimes outside the studio for recordings), small and delivers what it promises.

The sound is precise and has a good power reserve. The reproduction quality outshines even more expensive models.

Chassis is very strong and the front panel looks gorgeous. The main plus of this amplifier for me is embedded power supply - a very welcome feature if you have to carry your equipment around. It is a bit heavy for it's size, but that's because the of the thick chassis and embedded power supply. Not bothering anyway.

I have intention to buy another bigger amplifier from Erzetich to be resident in my studio, while Bacillus will be among my on-the-road equipment.

A good review, thanks AlainN. Since this is the first mention of the Erzetich amps could you perhaps add a few lines regarding the headphones you used with the Bacillus, apart from the HE500. Just curious :)
