FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours
Anyone had audio stutter / jitter issues? When using the Apple 3.5m dongle, I don't have any issues - but with the Q1MK2, sometimes the music stops for 1-2 seconds, then resumes the track. Using iOS 11.1. Other than that, nice fit and finish. The Lightning-MicroUSB cable is quite malleable...- 1audioz

FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours
If you lose or the included cable is faulty - how do you replace it? I've seen a FiiO L19 cable but that looks a lot clunkier than what the bundled cable is.- 1audioz

FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours
I'm not sure you understood my comment - I was referring to the scarcity of a Lightning to Micro-USB cable since that's the interconnect between an iPhone 7 and the Q1MK2.- 1audioz

FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours
Sorry if this has been addressed earlier - but isn't the single point-of-inconvenience, the lack of "Lightning to Micro-USB" cables?- 1audioz

[AUS] Monash University Clayton Head-Fiers?
Hello. In second year (2011) - me and a bunch of people set up an Android Community @ Clayton as part of Faculty of IT Society because Club & Societies got mad about our "club" being too similar to the recently closed "Open Source Club." We Group was active for about a year, ran dev...- 1audioz

Upgrade the sp2500 or other route?
Going to bump the hell out of this thread to vent my frustration with the SP2500. The SP2500 has a monstrous amount of bass quantity but the satellites suck. Treble and midrange is OK for gaming but for actual music, they're terrible. They don't emit enough bass quantity at low volume levels so...- 1audioz

Schitt Bifrost for Home Audio Set up?
Just make sure the TOSLINK connection to the mini jack is secure otherwise you may experience drop outs. Otherwise should be fine. I believe TOSLINK is limited to 24/96 whereas asynchronous USB can sample up to 24/196- 1audioz

I want to cool my DAC
Hey guys, Been using an Audio-gd NFB-12.1 for a few months now and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to "cool" the chassis or just help the device dissipate heat? Laptop coolers seem a little too big to be effective. I use my 12.1 as the primary audio source for my...- 1audioz

Newb would like suggestion on next purchase
I used to own a prominent sound card, the ASUS Essence STX. The card was high quality but my listening gear always brought up some interference produced by my Radeon HD 6990 (EMI). Currently I am using an Audio-gd 12.1 DAC/AMP via Optical SPDIF (Motherboard Digital Output) and I find that...- 1audioz

Buying IEMs in Japan
I'm considering the JVC Victor HAFX-700 (wood) earphones. I have a lack of dynamics in my collection and this particular one has piqued my interest for a while. So far I've had a browse around in Yodobashi (sic) in Umeda and Edi-On (sic) in Kyoto and they seem to only carry...- 1audioz

Buying IEMs in Japan
Hey guys, I'm currently in Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki) until January 9 and I was wondering if it is economical to buy any high-end IEMs? Currently I have items like the JVC-Victor FX500 or 700 in mind. Probably not going to replace my main SM3s but good to know...- 1audioz

Monoprice IEMs different model comparisons
See how you find the CX300's and the comfort levels of the monoprice IEMs. People here can only say so much - it's better to see for yourself. Odd that you decided to get CX300s (bass cannons) when you enjoyed the ER6i.- 1audioz

How to control sources and outputs? (asking for suggestions)
Funny, I've had the same need as you. There are "audio switches" available on eBay that I've held out on purchasing. But they seem to be switching inputs rather than outputs - which sort of miss the point I'm looking. I too use headphones + speakers (used to be monitors) and...- 1audioz

Audio-gd NFB-12.1 DAC out same as Headphone out?
Hey mate, have you tried taking off the top cover and checking if your line output is fixed not variable? There's a slider for that option. Variable means the volume will still change the volume even if you're using a discrete amp. I use my 12.1 amp section rarely and my WA2 more often -...- 1audioz

Audio-gd 12.1 DAC freezing + buzzing during use?
Hi guys, Been using my Audio-gd 12.1 for quite some time now - but I've been having this problem/issue which occurs on/off. I use the DAC with SPDIF TOSLINK only and almost never use the amp component. Basically what happens is sometimes the audio will stutter / freeze "zzzzzzzz" -...- 1audioz

Audio-GD NFB 12.1 is a pretty bad DAC?
Open the NFB-12.1 up to check if you have the DAC-level output set as variable or fixed line output. If it's on variable, changes in the volume knob and high gain will severely distort any sound coming through. I have yet to set it to fixed (laziness) but I use it with my WA2 on maxed out...- 1audioz

Noob question on entry level tube amplifier
Audio is a subjective hobby. The best for someone could be terrible for another and vice versa. You may or may not need a tube amp for the cans you want to use with it. Above post covers the lowest possible price for a tube headphone amp. Personally, I think You should look for a...- 1audioz

Headphone for yulong D100 MK11 Amp

Help me find the right DAC
What kind of sound characteristic are you looking for? I use an Audio-gd NFB-12.1 with my Beyer T1 + Woo WA2 combo and I enjoy it very much. I like the rich, musicality of the Wolfson-based DACs. Possibly not the most neutral of DACs though. Goes for about $230-270 in Australia.- 1audioz

beyer A1/ wooaudio Wa2
I used the A1 in my first audition with the T1; while solid state amps seem to have more "impact" to the sound, I find that the resultant sound isn't as refined as a tube amp such as the WA2. I've been using the T1 and WA2 combo (with some tube rolling) for a few months now and I highly...- 1audioz
