San Diego Headphone Meet! 23 April 2011.
Thanks to UE for sponsoring the meet, and MrSpeakers for getting it going. cp8ir is the discman/Rega Apollo/Heed/K501 person, i poached the Rega for the EHHA i think my fav was either the Omega or the HP2, hard to pick one. I wanted to spend more time with the KGSSHV, but perhaps...- studeb

If anyone wants to bring extra power cables, i have a nice collection of stock cables to compare with. Also do people wander about with their own sources? I am unbalanced so all my gear is rca input, with TRS out.- studeb

i understand your sizing conctriction, but would it not be better to use caps with all the same values? You are comparing 100 to 220 to 470 to 100uF caps- studeb

EHHA Rev A - Interest Thread
Just some notes on the recent conversations you guys have had i built mine with the stock gain, which i find to be high with all the headphones i have tried - HD600, V6 and K240 sextetts. My source is P-3A dac > B1 buffer > EHHA Rev A. That initial brightness will go away, and then...- studeb

A thread for my sex amp
Nice job on the amp. i too thought of buying it. About the tape, i think you need to apply it vertically though. Two horizontal strips just are not enough, you will not get enough shielding. This is little known fact, and it works with the fake tape too. I saved a boatload of cash on it, now...- studeb

eXStatA Build Thread II
Q3 and Q4 are not mounted facing the same way. Looking from the top, one long side is shorter than the other. That shorter side (with the marking IIRC) goes toward the close edge on Q3 and away on Q4. Look at the old thread posts 1266 and 1271, you can sort of see the orientation there.- studeb
