harkens back to the grado vs senn debate.I guess this is how they might get some grado converts....

50 ohm should be easier to drive and I'm guessing that's why senn created them, to be used with sources that dont have alot of juice, like portables, ipods, etc. If i can get a hold of some, my primary device will be my laptop....

I would reccomend contacting thier customer service, which by the way is excellent, and ask them for assistance prior to opeing the headphones.

i think you mean distort. Depending on your source, your ears will be ruined and you'll probably have a helluva headache before the a900s distorst.

true but only if they are properly amped. Even though they are low impedance cans, they need a good source or will not sound as good as they possibly can. Unamped the ath-a900s (IMHO) would be a better choice. With a good amp, the cd3ks.
