I did a search on yahoo and there actually was a Black Friday sale on the UET10 for mid $90 in 2011. So maybe there will be another. If so, for sure I'll pick up a pair. I may even buy the RE262 for comparison sake.  

I'm actually now thinking about buying the Hifiman RE262.  

How much did they sell for during the Black Friday sale? I might just wait for the next Black Friday.  

For some reason, I see a lot of the Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 on craigslist in my area. I'm wondering if there are a lot of fakes out there.

M50 owner here. Big thumbs up. Best bang for the buck.

I have a Fuze, iPod Nano, and iPod Classic.   I much prefer the iPod sound as it's warmer and actually gets louder than the Fuze. I'm using various headphones as well.

I own the Audio Technica ATH-M50 and so have a lot of people on this board. They're highly recommended.   I think they sound great!

On that budget, I'd say Sennheiser HD280.

I currently have the E5 and M50 combo. I'm loving this combination, especially with the bass boost.   Can't wait to get an E7.

I was expecting the same, the volume knob to much higher on the HD580 than the HD280 and 7506 but it's not the case. Only when I plug the headphones straight from the source is when I notice the difference, it's a slight difference though, not significant.   I'm using a Sansa Fuze.  ...

I currently have Sennheiser HD280, HD580, and Sony MDR-7506. They're all equally loud when at 3 o'clock. I'm just really concerned about the volume knob being turned so far up.  

Is it dangerous to keep my volume/gain knob at a little past 3 o'clock? I can't get any of my headphones to wang unless it's at 3 o'clock.
