Requirements for a DAP/PMP
Hello, So I've decided to finally take the plunge and start looking for a new DAP/PMP. I'm tired of hauling around CD's with me everywhere. I don't need something super small, I'd just like to be able to haul around most of my music collection (so somewhere in the 30+ gig would be nice)...- Cyntax

Convert optical digital to coax digital?
Hello, I've got an ART DI/O DAC that accepts a coax digital input. I'd like to try out a new cd changer but it uses optical digital out. Is there a reliable optical->coax converter out there? Would I notice any type of degredation in the signal? I wouldn't think so since its digital anyways...- Cyntax

Adjustable Bass boost for PPA?
I'm just about to add in the bass boost to my PPA. Has anyone thought up of a way to have an adjustable bass boost? By adjustable I mean a little knob on the outside you could turn to increase or decrease the boost. Could you use a volume pot or something similar for R7 value? I don't know what...- Cyntax

Hookup wire
Hey, I purchased some cardas copper hookup wire for my PPA project. However i bought 20 gauge instead of 22 gauge. I'm finding the stuff very difficult to work with. For one it doesn't tin well at all and solder seems to just roll off it. I'm really considering just using the generic 22...- Cyntax

Some thoughts on Beyer DT531
Well I finally got a change to try out the Beyer DT531 at a local shop in town. I tried the Beyer DT531, Sennheiser 570, and Ultrasone HFI-650.
