6SN7 Tube Addicts
Can anyone provide some insight into or impression of the following tube that I bought recently? It says Rogers, although not in the usual plain/bold logo that I know from Rogers. As well it says JAN CQ 6SN7GT (on the tube as well) and I couldn't find any mapping of "CQ" on the net...is that...- suikodenii

Eddie Current, question for owners...
Quote: What makes you believe that the S7 has more current for the LCD than the BA. Looking at the specs on EC homepage the S7 delivers 1.1W into 32 Ohm and the BA 1.5W into the RS1 (which I believe is 32 Ohm)? It seems that the BA has slightly more power into low impedance hps.- suikodenii

SPL Auditor vs B22 for T1
You can find some additional impressions on Phonitor/Auditor vs B22 here: http://www.headfonia.com/spls-phonitor-and-auditor/ I do own the Phonitor for a couple of years now and the thought of it sounding bright has not occurred to me yet (w/ HD800 & T1).- suikodenii

SPL Phonitor Impressions Thread
Quote: Thanks. The Supra OpAmps by SPL are discrete built so it doesn't make sense to insert bursons there I suppose. I was referring to the two OpAmps that are circeled in yellow in the picture above and which are supposed to be replaced by the Bursons as far as I understand. What...- suikodenii

Do you happen to know what these 2 OpAmps are used for and their type? I thought it was mentioned somewhere in this thread that any OpAmp other than the SPL propriatary ones were not in the signal path. or maybe I got that wrong. Didn't open up my Phonitor yet. Thanks!- suikodenii

Thanks guys! Can someone confirm that with the DIP it is really just an unplug/plug in job & no soldering/unsoldering is required with either removing the old OPAmp or placing the new one? Thanks!- suikodenii

SPL Phonitor Impressions Thread
Thanks. Not sure I understand yet exactly what I need. 1 x Single OPA DIP or 1 x Dual OPA DIP ? Or 2x any of each? Are the OPs in the Phonitor socked so that it is really just a plug and place. Or is soldering/unsoldering still required with the DIPs?- suikodenii

SPL Phonitor Impressions Thread
Hi, Where did you order them and which ones exactly are those Burson OpAmps (model number?)? Is just one pair required for the Phonitor as well or does it need more than the Auditor? Thanks!- suikodenii

Thank! Interesting, what Is your experience with the Burson OpAmps? How did the Phonitor improve? I am a long time owner of the Phonitor & pretty happy with it but nevertheless curious as to how the upgrade could improve. Did you do this yourself or have someone perform the OPAmp change? Thanks!- suikodenii

REVIEW AND COMPARISON: Eddie Current Balancing Act and SUPER 7
Quote: Thanks! Tough choice being far away from any chance to listen to either version... I will wait for impressions from the T.H.E Show where I understand the Mk2 will be present this weekend. It sounds to me like the Mk2 might mate well with the LCD-2 rev1 I have but would require...- suikodenii

REVIEW AND COMPARISON: Eddie Current Balancing Act and SUPER 7
Hmm, I don't think I like what I am hearing. I chose to be on this run of the Super 7 as I was looking for an more "organic" sounding amp (instead of e.g the RWA Corvina) to complement the solid state amps that I already have...- suikodenii

REVIEW AND COMPARISON: Eddie Current Balancing Act and SUPER 7
Ok I get it :-) I have put down my deposit last week for a Super 7 and now am curious of what I will get . Budget limit I set myself was what S7 costs w/ stock tubes. I run Hd800, T1 & Lcd2 so a versatile amp was required. Can anyone add any thoughts on balanced vs. SE with the Super7? I don't...- suikodenii

SPL Phonitor Heapdhone Monitoring Amplifier - Head-Fi TV, Episode 009
Quote: I am not arguing the commercial part mentioned here. However content wise I find that there was all that could be said: The Phonitor is a very neutral, detailed SS amp with a very slight tilt to the warm side. It is fabulous with high impedance headphones like the HD800, T1...- suikodenii
