SOLD OUT. Amazon deal of the day- Triple.fi 10 $95
I jumped on this deal as well. I don't live in the US so I have to pay some extra fees for a forwarding service, but the end price is still great. This might be a weird question, but does anyone know if the package will weigh more than two pounds?- Svirre

ASIO soundcard recommendations
Will do, thanks for the tip! I see the guy on ebay that's selling Musiland Monitor 02 is also selling a soundcard called Musiland Monitor 01, and from what I can see that seems to also fulfill all my demands. I have no need for a DAC, all I want is bitperfect untouched sound from my computer...- Svirre

I was thinking more if it came with software that enables you to control the volume of ASIO and direct sound independently?- Svirre

ASIO soundcard recommendations
That looks interesting! Can it switch automatically between 16-bit and 24-bit and play ASIO and sound from the normal sound driver at the same time?- Svirre

ASIO soundcard recommendations
Does the e-mu 0404 use the same software as e-mu 1212m? If so, I'm guessing it can't switch automatically from 16-bit to 24-bit?- Svirre

Considdering HD 800 - will a DV332 be sufficiant as a temporary amp?
Lately I have been considering to take a step up the Sennheiser ladder and acquire a pair of the HD 800. Since that financially is quite a big purchase I will probably have to use my current amp - a Darkvoice 332 - for quite a while before I can get something more suitable. Is the DV332 ok...- Svirre

ASIO soundcard recommendations
I'm looking for a new soundcard, but so far I've come up empty in my search. My criteria: - ASIO playpack - Have optical output - Stable Windows 7 drivers - Be able to play ASIO and sound from the normal sound driver at the same time - Be able to switch automatically from 16-bit to 24-bit...- Svirre

e-mu 1212m and Windows 7
I’ve been using different builds of Windows 7 for quite some time, but when I acquired an e-mu 1212m a few months ago I had to go back to Vista because of a few problems. ASIO worked fine, but for instance while watching movies the sound got a distorted after a while. Restarting the program...- Svirre

Best EAC tutorial out there?
I've looked at a few different guides, but this one is by far the best one I've found: EAC Guides It takes you through the important settings and pitfalls of EAC, and if you follow it point to point the rips you make will be 100% perfect including a log and a cue sheet.- Svirre

Soundcard for bitperfect optical out and ripping vinyl
In theory it is, but I sometimes get this weird noise while using the internal soundcards optical output. I then have to restart the song and sometimes the entire program to get everything sounding good again. It happens in Foobar2000 while using WASAPI and it happens while watching movies and...- Svirre

Soundcard for bitperfect optical out and ripping vinyl
I asked on another site and they strongly recomended the HT Omega Claro Halo, I don't really know what's what when it comes to recording so I took their word for it. Lucky I asked here as well, I can see. The E-MU 1820 looks good, though it is a bit of a hassle with an external device. But...- Svirre

So, I finally got around to ordering a vinyl rig. I have about a hundred records but nothing to play them on! I know, total madness... I went a bit back and forward and what's on the way is the following: Rega P5 with a RB700 arm Ortofon Rondo Bronze pickup Black Cube statement RIAA I...- Svirre

Best lossless format, riper and player?
1. Definitively .flac 2. Yup, EAC is the king of rippers 3. I doesn´t really matter what program you use, as long as it supports ASIO, WASAPI or some other form of streaming the music bit perfect and untouched to your audio setup. It seems that Foobar2000 is favored by many, but I myself...- Svirre

A new soundcard only to be used for optical out
Aren't both supposed to be bitperfect? If so, how can there be a difference? Anyway, I gave WASAPI and foobar2000 a try. Is it really as easy as it seems? I downloaded the WASAPI .dll and put it in Foobars component folder, and then chose WASAPI as the output source throug s/pdif. And then...- Svirre

A new soundcard only to be used for optical out
Thanks for all the replys! I really didn't think I had to do that much with the sound in Vista, but I guess I was mistaken. It seems that ASIO4ALL is compatible with MediaMonkey, so I'll have to give that a try. Who knows, maybe that will cure the issues I'm having with the sound so I don't...- Svirre

A new soundcard only to be used for optical out
Ok, but the sound isn't being resampled like it was in XP, right? Anyway, I'll check out wasapi and see if it's possible to use a similar setup with MediaMonkey. Is there any alternatives if wasapi is not compatible with my current setup?- Svirre
