THe Kenwood may sound good, but they are way too restrictive and has very poor user interface. In addition, that version you mentioned above is only sold within Japan.

I find it hard to believe that this, being 3 times cheaper, could beat a Shure 500/530, since i strongly believe in what you pay for is what you generally get. We need to test this against the Westone 3?

The iPhones are great if you have an Apple setup at home, use the iPhone to remote control iTune etc.. I have nothing against the iPhone apart from its price.

Personally i don't like them, 1GB disc limit, no user interface, not quite small (but not big either). Having said that, the line out + audio quality is amazing on a .wav file (100% loseless), but can't beat a flash/hard drive play in terms of portability and size.
