Well, I finally got my DT 770 back. The pads that it comes with are indeed too large.   However, the gel pads are a different matter.   As you can see, the lip on gel pad is much larger so it's possible to put them on DJ100:     Here's how it looks like with gel pads installed...

MDR-V6 pads are not of too great a quality either. They are a bit thicker but pretty darn hard, at least for now.   My ears get on the inside. M/b I just got small ears :P .   I wonder if DT 770 would work with DJ100. There are some nice choices of pads when it comes to DT 770.
