    $999 Calyx M with DXD + DSD, 64GB + SD + µSD storage

I believe the single slot opening is too thick for just one card. The 192gb must be 2 slots 1 micro sd and 1 sd. This might be stacked on top of each other. The sd slot for 128gb and the micro with 64gb thus in total 192 gb. I hope that my guess be correct as I see no other way of getting this...

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

I have to send it back to the distributor next week when I have time, the left ear has some fit issues. It leaks a bit when I turn my head to the right side. Anyway the sound is great when the seal is perfect.

Pictures of YOUR custom iem artwork

Thanks. Thanks for the compliments. No, i had the idea a long time ago and had the earrings on hand. I went to the distributor here and they managed every thing else. They even sent to a grinders to have the backs ground flat. The distributor is top notch. It's JMPlus here in Taiwan.

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Thanks. I would hold off definite impressions after 200 hrs or so. But first impressions are very very nice, I changed the stock cable to Toxic Silver Widow and immediately the sound seems louder and clearer with better bass definition with the stock cable. The craftsmanship is top notch.   ...

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Yeah I knew about the delay also. They are also doing expansion and this time it seems that they procured a new 3d scanning and printing machine and incorporating this machine in the manufacturing process has bogged them down due to training and stuff.

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Wow congrats, yours was very fast. I ordered mine mid June and still have not gotten it yet. Maybe because it's the ls10? But the wait is agonizing.

Quote: Sean you are right here, manufacturers (most anyway) use the appropriate values. But sometimes for cost reasons they might use a mediocre part but still with the correct values.   Quote:   No capacitors and resistors are not the same thing. But both if them influence the...

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Quote: Rooths now are developed by Tomo in HFI(Japan). The website is www.hfi.jp You can look up the site for the physical address. Japan would be the best place to demo rooth as it's being developed there and manufactured in China.   Wish you luck!

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Quote: The LS10, IMHO is more balanced and refined. But I think it's a moot point in that the 15 spots have all been sold, so no more LS10. But from the demo, I feel the LS8+ is alot better than the LS8. But if you like balanced sound, the LS6 is very truthful and capable.

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Quote: At the moment, you cannot get the LS10. It's a limited run edition. Tomo said that the world wide allocation was 15. It was a proof of technical abilities on their part. It's very nice (demoed it during the world tour and bought it).   Still waiting for it though. Rooth is...

    The Astell & Kern AK120

Quote: You do not need a dedicated clock for DSD. In a DSD capable chip like the WM8741, it still uses the same master clock. The implementation is software. The chip has 2 DSD modes, direct DSD and DSD plus. DSD plus just enhances the data and corrects for errors (it think).  ...

    The Astell & Kern AK120

Quote:   Yes the hardware clock must be compatible. What I think the AK120 is doing is doing an "on the fly" conversion of the DSD files to PCM. The additional overhead of this conversion, puts a lot of burden on the FPGA, thus it consumes more power, feels sluggish during conversion...

HiFiMAN HM-901 visit pg 18. IMGS pg 19. NEW beta FW 1st page. . to the 901s. .new 901s FW .

The balanced card uses 2 opa627 per channel for balanced but for SE operation it uses 1 chip per channel. The balanced card uses 1 opa627 for each channel in SE operation. The portaphile uses also 1 opa627 per channel and also an additional 1opa627 for the ground channel. IMO this is the...

Need help choosing CIEMs for female vocals, mostly in pop/ballad/rock genre.

If it was for female vocals, then there are a few choices, LS8+ , FitEar 333 and ES5 which are CIEMS. For UIEM, i suggest CKPro100.   All of these have one thing in common, that is slight emphasis on the upper mid frequencies.
