Need IEMs/canalphones with inline volume control. . .
To my way of thinking somebody who has not tolerated earbuds in the past may have a lot more problems with canalphones or IEMs. I would suggest getting a pair of inexpensive canalphones, even if they don't have the volume control, to determine if you can now tolerate something IN your ears...- FreeZ5

warranty query
Warranty laws will vary from country to country. Are you buying these discontinued items from a legitimate dealer? How long have they been discontinued? To be certain, you really should ask the manufacturer. Steve- FreeZ5

Marshmallows: which one is the good one?
In addition to the iphone compatible plug, the FX34 Marshmallows have a different colour range. For example, the FX-33 blue is darker (if I recall rightly) than the FX-33 blue. Steve- FreeZ5

Gotta agree with DKaz. I don't think a $10 phone will beat a pair of Marshmallows. What's wrong with your Marshmallows? They can be improved easily by upgrading the tips (UE or E2C). Steve- FreeZ5

The other earpiece needed a small pair of needle nose pliers to 'encourage' it to separate; but still came off quite easily. I'd hate to...- FreeZ5
