Facts: Headphones and earphones all have tiny wires taking that same signal to and from the speaker (driver). That signal does not change when it flows through the cable then the tiny wire. Changes only occur when resistors and such are used. Science Bruh.

Whats wrong with just clipping the two long pins so the fit is tight?

Four weeks in Kauai and this setup has performed. Fiio X1, E12. Only issue was bending the 3.5mm plug on the plane. They had the plug facing towards my leg, bound to happen. Could not have happened without Headfi. A layer of audio stimulus to a fantastic visual experience. Thanks Headfi.

Kz foams stay in your ear when removing the iem. I would suggest New Bee foams. They stay on the z6. Once you know your size you can get six pairs for seven dollars...

My green Kz6 has had 40+ hours. With the tri-braid cable and foam tips they are sounding better than my Westone 3. I highly recommend a slight eq to soften the highs and bring up the lows.

I would go for the Fostex T20rp Mk2. Dat Planar Bass cant be beat. Add a bit more and get a used Hifiman He-400.

I just applied this mod. I used a Magic Eraser cleaning pad instead of the foam. Amazing sound, very fast and clear. Thanks to those who created this thread so very long ago.
