You can get replacement cables without needing an adapter on ebay. I use the c5d with these if I can; the medium bass boost goes pretty well to enrich the body of the music I listen to.

It gets more and more difficult as you try to discern the differences between amps, dacs and.. cables.

Sorry, that was a bit of a joke lol.   Objectively to the human ear, they won't sound any different. Of course, there will always be people who say otherwise.

So my unit's left diaphragm stopped producing sound when turned at certain angles.   Upon inspection, I found out that pushing against the earpad would either momentarily restore or take the sound away.   So I took off the earpad and undid a screw which made the sound come back a bit more...

They're designed to be taken off but not on a regular basis because there's possibility of wear and tear on the clips over time if you keep doing it.   If you get dandruff on the cloth filter of the earpads, I suggest some tape or a small handheld vacuum cleaner that isn't too powerful.

  Wipe down the cups, leather and metal headband with a fine cloth. The velour should be cleaned weekly with a lint roller and if they ever smell or get dirty, use a damp cloth with a bit of unscented soap to wipe over and air dry.

  Unfortunately, qc on the tightness of the headband and cup swivels is inconsistent. Luckily the pair I'm using has a slightly tight clamp and smooth but not so loose swivels.
