LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance
Very happy with the audio quality - it is a phone after all! With some porta pros or my MDR-V6s, it's a great sounding get up with no need to carry a mini amp.- stan23

KOSS PORTAPRO
No comparision. While the build quality on the PX-100 is years above the PortaPros, the Koss stills sounds way better. Something about this can--everyone just loves 'em. I still use my SportaPro daily and i've had them for about 8-years! I also have a few sets of NOS KCS-35s that I...- stan23

Totally insane quality for a totally insane price.....The Etymotic mc5 mini review.
I just got to audition these yesterday, and as a long time ER4 listener, I can't say that I was all that impressed. The sound stage sounds very limited, and I found the mids to be to the point of almost shrieking--nearing the upper highs. They sound very similiar to my older ER6 with a tad...- stan23

Locating Etymotic dealers
Anyone know where I can pick up some MC5's locally from a brick and mortar store? I recall Fry's used to sell them, but I could no longer find them. I'm in the SF Bay Area. Thanks!- stan23

New Owner of ER-4P
I think it depends on the music you're listening to. For me, if I listen to vocals, the ER4-S cannot be beat..- stan23

iPod Mini Questions
-How is the player charged? I was looking at some pics of the dock and there doesn't seem to be a port going to the AC adapter. You use the firewire cable to chage, that plugs into the AC adapter -How is the sound? How does it compare to the karma or the zen xtra? Sounds great to me. I...- stan23

Diana Krall; yea or nay?
I was a big fan about a year or so back. Etta, she ain't, but she does have skills. Her recordings are sonically amazing. Live in Paris was a very good disc. -

Suggested Phones for Radio DJing and Home Rig?

I plan on replacing my Nitrus with an iPod Mini; here's why
sno1man - My work is done here - I see no point in arguing with you. If you had been around here a little longer, you would have seen how equally 'unbiased' i've been about every product i've either personally reviewed or had the pleasure of using.. Except of course, the Eggos -- cuz they...- stan23

I plan on replacing my Nitrus with an iPod Mini; here's why
Well, you have your opinion and I have mine. It seems the consensus of 'head-fi' users enjoy the iPods sound. Check the other forums here if you don't believe me. A lot of folks with the big guns "10K home headfi systems" have an iPod as well.- stan23

I plan on replacing my Nitrus with an iPod Mini; here's why
gratner - I suggest you get yourself a nice decent home system and then go out and compare to the iPod. You'll find the flat tone curve to be very very natural. Isn't that the whole goal of hi fi? Not adding anything to the music, but enjoying it at it's 'purest' form.- stan23

I plan on replacing my Nitrus with an iPod Mini; here's why
Dude! you're listening to mp3s! I think critical listening should be reserved on home systems with proper treatment. As far as ipod VS. XXXX sound quality. It's all in perference in the type of music you listen to. I like .. no LOVE jazz on the ipod. It's got a flat curve sound that sounds...- stan23

Hi-res photos of the new iPod Mini
I think i'll be selling one of my Gen3's pretty soon as well. I never really warmed up to it. The original 5gb was just so wonderful to use -- with its mechanical tactile feedback.- stan23
