Mad dogs! They're pretty fast.

You'll really have to narrow your choices down... However I can vouch that the mad dogs are awesome for what you're looking for. Great accuracy, fast, sweet mids and just the right amount of bass and treble.

Some people like the fiio e11 and lineout on iPod paired with the mad dogs for a cost effective portable setup. As for me, I noticed a differenced amped and umamped; the bass was not present at all and the soundstage was rather narrow.

I bought some sleek red ath-m50s on amazon used(very good condition) for about $120. Even the regular price at around $160, it's a great deal. If you wanted you could also purchase the shure sh840 velour earpads if you don't like the stock pleather ones.
