Recommend me an amp to build
Okay, my main rig disappoints me when compared to my Shuffle + ES7, and I think I've narrowed the problem down to the amp. The M^3 isn't rich enough and doesn't have as good separation and pinpoint soundstaging as the Shuffle. What DIY amps out there have a slight bass boost, are thick and rich...- threEchelon

Text-Embedded Advertisements! W.T.F.
Anyone else noticing the text-embedded advertisements? Text-embedded advertising is one of the most intrusive, annoying, and dispicable internet advertising methods, and I am outraged that Jude has chosen to use them!- threEchelon

Grado SR-60 Recabling Trouble
I finished recabling a pair of SR-60's, but there was no sound. I think the voice coil wires became unattached from the solder pads. Is there a way to open up the drivers and reattach them? Also, is it possible that the drivers overheated to the point of being totaled?- threEchelon

M3 troubleshooting
I'm building an M3 with a 36V STEPS (currently with a gain of 11 for testing). Here's my story so far: Anyways, I think I may have damaged some components by overheating them during construction or reheating, and I though I only have a basic understanding of electronics, I believe the broken...- threEchelon

What is the best design for a flexible and nonmicrophonic headphone cable?
I'm ready to recable my main cans but I need a way to make the cable nonmicrophonic; the last cable I made used heatshrink and was like a lightning rod for microphonics. I see people mention that Multifilament Techflex and Cotton Tubing reduce microphonics, but what would be the best way to...- threEchelon

Does anyone have experience with different types of heatshrink?
I got some polyolefin tubing but the surface is dry and the heatshrink is kind of hard. What is PVC heatshrink like? Also, has anyone tried FEP or PTFE tubing? I basically looking for something like what's on the HD280 cable. Soft, smooth, and nonmicrophonic.- threEchelon

Anyone have a crazy sensory experience while listening to headphones?
Last summer while touring on a bus for American Music Abroad, I would fall asleep while listening to my HD280's and when I woke up, I would keep my eyes closed and not move around at all.
